What Agenda ? Cattle herders are not getting International prices and on that Government is working to do the buying and selling in which the prices are good for cattle herders as well as the revenues be collected with a system.

Already GoI is working for the food processing units which can be helpful to improve not only the quality but even increase dairy markets.

If for one year , we Indians adopt beef ban and think about the country then we can increase more employment.

it's plain and simple... first ban alcohol and tobacco products than banning beef or something. .. if you don't like meat doesn't everyone should follow... just don't pull silly reason ...

Here its more about putting a system in which the cattle herders, Government and the customers have a good relationship in which all can benefit.

Indian meat do have good demand in the International market and its shipped to 65 countries.

India buffalo is barred from leading U.S. export markets such as Japan, Mexico, Taiwan and South Korea,because it lacks disease certification.

you are not getting my point.. am not questioning about meat export or subsidies. .. am talking about there are several issue that govt should concentrate. .. it's ok govt canend all privileges. . at the same time why don't they ban alcohol and tobacco products and give up income coming from those ????? meat causing no trouble to human health may it hurting feelings of vegetarians... govt more concerned about meat ..... all they are doing digging some lame excuses to ban meat... just like they did on jain festive.. advised on Ganesh chavithi... they bring Vajpayee birthday announced blood donation camps so and so during Christmas eve... they could conduct these voluntary events on sime Sunday or so in same month... same thing arised for Bakr eid... Christians have only 2 festivals. . one Christmas eve .. 2nd Good Friday. .. nothing else... why do they need to pull silly excuses. .

These guys are no different from the radicalised mullahs... Mr. Swamy should win a single seat from his state with his ideology, then he should call for a ban on meat subsidy. Did he forgot when beef banned in maharastra, tamil nadu protested due to the hit in the leather industry?

I am in favor of this for couple of reasons.
1. Being Vegetarian, i am always in support of any act which discourage the gruesome killings of innocent animals for fun and taste.
2. Subsidy should be removed gradually from every sector. This is used to encourage a business. Now since meat export industry has reached to a good sizable amount, it can support itself by finding innovative ways. Let it compete by itself in the open market with non-subsidized rates.

If they are able to sustain the prices even after subsidy reduction then its fine else it can be considered that meat export is not an economical viable export option.

Dnt think so .my cousin works in meat exporter company .i discuss the same situation with him . they are (meat exporters) more thn happy with these sort of radical indian leadership.
