BJP leader Chandan Mitra gets trolled for calling BJP Twitterati ‘jobless’
He said, "BJP's policies are not influenced by the Twitterati. I absolutely and categorically state that Twitterati does not influence foreign policy."

BJP MP of Rajya Sabha and journalist Chandan Mitra is currently facing flak on Twitter for stating on national television debate that Twitterati are jobless. He said that people on Twitter are those who do not have much work to do otherwise. He decided to gain all the wrath of Twitterati when he said that BJP’s policies are not influenced by Twitterati.
Mitra was questioned how Anurag Thakur, Lok Sabh MP was abused by BJP supporters for his opinion that BCCI should play cricket in SriLanka. Most of the people who were opposed to the party members’ decision was from the party itself. To which Mitra answered that BJP does not frame foreign policies on basis of Twitterati opinions. He said, “BJP’s policies are not influenced by the Twitterati. I absolutely and categorically state that Twitterati does not influence foreign policy.” Further to acquire the fury from the social media he said that people who raise opinion on Twitter are the ones who do not have anything else to do. He said, “Some people with nothing very much better to do express their opinions on various subjects on Twitter.”(Also Read- Aghast at comments made by BJP leaders: Nitish Kumar)
After Mitra’s statement, Twitter is filled with furious comments for him. While many of them are mocking at the leader’s poor sense of understanding others no more want to see him on national debates. Meanwhile, some BJP supporters want the MP to be quickly removed fromt he party. Here are some of the tweets:
