BJP leader asks Shiv Sena to change its perception of Pakistan

MUMBAI: Mumbai chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ashish Shelar has adviced Shiv Sena to change its perception about Pakistan and to consider the local problems while discussing national issues, according to a report published onThe Times of India website.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had expressed doubts regarding the recently-held meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Ufa, Russia and termed the meeting as "unfortunate."

He stated that, "the neighbouring country needs to be taught a lesson in a manner it understands" as he felt that the conditions on the borders between the two countries had not changed at all.

BJP leader Ashish Shelar said, "Uddhav Thackeray should have first sought information on Modi's meeting with Sharif. The meeting between the two prime ministers was of national importance. Since the trial of 26/11 Mumbai attacks is going on in a Pakistani court, Modi coaxed Pakistan into completing it faster. Several Indian fishermen are lodged in Pakistani jails. The meeting also focused on their release.”

He added, “Everybody has the right to speak about India-Pakistan relations and what is happening in Jammu and Kashmir. But what is needed is a change of perception so that you can see the changed conditions."

Shelar also criticised Sena, which directs the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, over recent flooding in the capital city of Maharashtra state perceived to be caused by blocked drains.

"While the Sena speaks about issues of national importance, why doesn't it take action against MCGM contractors who are doing substandard work of cleaning the drainage system? It (also) needs to focus on the increasing number of leptospirosis cases in Mumbai," he said.

Earlier in September 2014, BJP severed ties with Shiv Sena, its far-right ally of 25 years, after days of bickering over seat-sharing for the October 2014 polls held in the western state of Maharashtra. Both the parties are still allies in Maharashtra state.

. . .
Can BJP ask Shev Sena to change their stance on Secularism, something their state rests on? No they cant. Millions of hard core hindutvas believe Secularism is a curse for the nation and want a Hindu nation for which they are often found monkeying around converting the minorities or putting them on fire. Infact if you dive down the idea is pretty much embodied in the social fabric.

Sena can't change their stance.
This is what their politics rest on: Hate

If you remove this, then what else do they have?
Right! Just like the Pakistan Establishment can never change their stance.
This is what their politics rest on: Hate

Sena can't change their stance.

Their politics is not based on hate, it's based on a hunger for power. Tomorrow if they have to call a donkey a friend and if it will give them a complete guarantee of power, they will do that too.

Shiv sena should be concentrating more on Maharashtra politics than on Pakistan
A gain for bjp means a loss for shiv sena only

@GURU DUTT what about the great game? its going in reverse --
i guess you dont know the basics and ground realities of indian polictics speacially shiv sena and BJP and specially in maharatra let me clear it for you in easy language

1.Shiv sena is a coailation partner of BJP in maharashtra for last 15-20 years

2.shiv sena always had the upper hand in the coilation till bala saheb thakrey was alive

3.the real shiv sena is a hardline "marathi hindu party" with extreme views aginst non marathies and specially muslims and christians they even started their politics with hate aginst tamil refugees in bombay and its impact on local culture now they are even aginst bhiyya's (north indiands) and thats shiv sena's real polictiacl capital

4.now first BJP & shiv sena were to go together in last mahrashtra elections but shiv sena supremo and his son got a bit too greedy thus went alone thinking they will have bargaining power but BJP faired much much better than they could ever imagine hence the sulk

5.now deu to this sulk they still had to join BJP in power but all the chips are in BJPs hands so they try to pressurise BJP on everything withowt thinking over the results so are making fool of themselfs again and again

6.now as for the current issue BJPs line towards pakistan is same as it always was thats if pakistan wants to work with india on indian terms fine if not let it suffer the consequences . but consequences dosent means BJP or Modi are going to use force against pakistan as many pakistanies want to so that it "unites all pakistanies" BJO top brass is too smart for that so uses diffrent approzches as per given circumstances but the core values remain same and will remain same

7. so jon bhai dont get any ideas BJP or Shiv sena or INC or any other indian party is indian first and when it comes to pakistan none has any sympathies for pakistan and its establishment

now the thing is whats this so called "great game" well thier is none its all speculation of indian and pakistani media and its over zelous tazianigars

thing is RSS/BJP/NaMo have their principals and thats "india first-justice to all appeasment to none" rest you can urself speculate it according to your whims and fancies no one is going to change just because of your priorities .... baat samjh me aaye ki nahi :azn:
