BJP is needed in the centre for at least a decade, only BJP and Congress can give a stable government, and Congress is in a rotten state right now, unless they make some serious changes in the top leadership, they should not come back. We can't afford to have a Sonia Gandhi & Rahul Gandhi led Congress again in the government. BJP has done well previously, but if they continue with this high-pitched Hindutva drama being promoted by the RSS and its affiliates, they are not coming back.

2014 election result:

BJP: 31% votes - a rise of 12.20% vote from 2009 poll - 282 seats.
Congress: 19.31% votes - a fall of 9.24% vote from 2009 poll - 44 seats.

BJP got a clear majority with 31% votes, and Congress formed a government with allies in 2009 election with just 28.55% of votes and 206 seats.

Congress is better in alliance politics, and a mere shift of roughly 5% votes from BJP to Congress can jeopardize BJP's fortune, all of those 31% votes that BJP got were not Hindutavadi votes. RSS is just a parasite riding on BJP's back on the waves of an unprecedented anti-Congress feeling all over India because of their utter failure in governance, price rise, corruption, and Rahul gandhi, as well as the popularity of Modi.

But Dray dada,Congress will definitely sell this country someday if they get a proper chance of doing so.Just look at the coal gate scam,those bastards literally robbed our country by giving those coal blocks at a throwaway price to their capitalistic cronies.The same thing was done in the case of the 2-G spectrum auction.There was once a time when i used to view Congress as a responsible national political party despite being a BJP supporter.But since then a lot have changed in this country and Congress has proved in front of us that it is totally incapable of ruling a vast country like India with their current political leadership.
On the contrary the BJP has got some genuine leaders in its rank who can guide the party and as well as the entire country effectively in future(something the I.N.C. is seriously missing nowadays barring Mr.Sachin Pilot and Mr.Jyotiraditya Scindhia)and the biggest advantage of BJP is that it has got a traditional loyal Dharmic votebank who will support the party no matter what happens in the future.Hence in order to keep these people happy the BJP leadership have to endure those b.s. coming from the Sadhvis and the Sadhus from time to time.It's nothing but a political compulsion for Mr.Narendra Modi and his top lieutenants who have to tolerate these cracker heads for the sake of their Dharmic votebank.

H D Deve Gowda, I K Gujral and MMS. 3. Leadership crisis in the Congress camp, both in 1998 & 2014. All of these counts.

Bringing in a credible leadership in Congress (even Priyanka Gandhi) will add some percentages of votes to Congress, this Hindutva drama will add some, the margins are not huge to let go some votes here and there. Besides, this Hindutva business is giving the opposition to unite and stall the bills. Cow slaughter is already banned in those states, BJP could have implemented the ban more strictly instead of including bulls & bullocks into the list.
