Bizarre! Indian Railways' electric locomotive goes missing

Perhaps secretly sold to someone

May be it was disassembled & parts were sold.
The people those are involved should be sent to jail

Almost impossible, even steel of rails can't be sold for scrap because they maintain a standard & anyone sell that steel is a criminal.
It's not easy to use that scrap at local industry or house & we know it's isn't easy to move that loco out of rail.

Of course of course. You are certainly on point. Since India has made electrical diesel engines and now electronic engines, they are justified to loose one locomotive engine in the air. Totally with you on that and I respect your thoughtful angling.

It happens only in India.

It can't happen in Pak at least, how many total locos Pakrail owns?
