What's new

Bihar and India

Very close to my town, around 50 km.
Some ongoing projects.

roads bridges are good, but i think Bihar govt should now concentrate on industrializing the economy from agricultural economy and use smart Bihari people serving in other states to come back and improve their own state.

.
doesnt make any sense, there was no 'bangladesh' back then, the kings always choose their native lands as their capitals, so guptas belonged to present day Bihar.

Lol, so I can get an idea what sort of research you did.

Mughals were Turkic and they established capital at Agra, Suris were Afghans but had their capital at Delhi.

And yes there was no Bangladesh back then, it just fell from the sky in 1971.

Why I'm sensing an Indian smell in your posts?

The Education in Bihar is Very Very bad.

So people move out when they are young to study and once they see the rest of India, they do not want to go back.

Even if they go back, its not safe anymore once you have lived outside bihar and have actually experienced real safety.

So, I hope you are capable enough to know the difference between spoken language and official languages of the historical empires.

Sanskrit was the language of the priests and elites and only used in the official and academic documents, not by the common people.

People in the subcontinent used to speak different forms of Prakrit.

Guptas were from Bangladesh and their native language was Magadhi Prakrit.

LOL.... why was Sanskrit not the language of the common people ? :cheesy:

Parkrit just means the impure form of sanskrit.

Similar to Latin and Pig-Latin.

Are you saying that ancient romans did not speak in Latin ?

The language of Maghad is called Magahi Language and its still spoken in India. And its definitely not bengali.

LOL..... are you seriously calling that idiot Joe Shearer to correct ME ? :cheesy:

This is truly insulting.

As long as you do not go around claiming that the Gupta empire was Bengali, I have no problems.

dont know why indians and bangladeshis are fighting here, doesnt even make any sense.

They are just uninvited guests as usual. They have this compulsive need to pole vault into India and Indian matters :P

No evidence for his claim. Gupta continues to be a common surname in North India. They have come from the ancient name and it is spread over various castes.

In bengal you would find Dasgupta and Sengupta.
