Biden says it's up to Afghans to run their country as U.S. leaves

for some strange reason now it is being assumed that $978bn DoD expenditure (which includes wages/salaries that would have been paid regardless of war/no war) was done on borrowed money. assuming interest of a whopping 533 billion, then adding unrelated and normal defense budget increase of 443 billion (which would have happened regardless due to many factors like new innovations, then adding vet pensions and costs of all sorts of unrelated matters
Not sure why a brit cares. AQ has been wiped out. OBL is dead. Any new OBL types can be wiped out for a few million dollars with access provided by Pakistan.

Afghanistan is nothing but a waste of resources for USA. Airlifting in energy drinks and other supplies from the USA to maintain low relevance bases in Afghanistan costs a fortune.....plus those forces could easily be attacked or surrounded by more hostile regional powers. Simply not worth it.

USA government balance sheets are horrible. Same with Britain and rest of NATO. Dollar's future is questioned even by the best American fund managers. It has been a pyrrhic victory for the USA to stay in Afghanistan to keep the Taliban out of Kabul. Biden is the just the first American leader to accept this (I commend him for it).

It took them 20 year to understand, the sleepy joe is not that sleepy, I guess

So what did American go in there to do?

The only way to get rid of a bully is to give them a bloody nose.

If China and Pakistan think they can just hide behind their borders and avoid dealing with Afghanistan, that's just delusional. Both of these countries wanted the US out of Afghanistan and now, when the moment has arrived, wants nothing to do with the country.

Sorry, but it's your problem now.
we invite superpower india to deal with taliban
