BHEL open to collaborations with Chinese firms

. .
Well,in my opinion it's a good move.Don't know what's wrong in this and why some people making so much hoopla?????

.
I think BHEL people and Govt has gone nutss.....Now the first thing govt should do is to increase the import duty of chineese product...so that chineese product don't hurt our manufacturing sector.......i think their should be movement to demotivate people from using chineese product in their daily life......

.
Hell no :fie:

BHEL is the biggest power plant manufacturer after Shanghai electric and soon it will be the biggest.

We don't need chinese their only advantage is cheap labor, if we need more latest technologies then have a JV with Germans, Japanese, Americans they are begging for it.

chinese their only advantage is cheap labor LOL you indians really need a reality check or may ne a mental check up. But you are right in part , if you employ a chinese man to do the work he will ask you for $500 compare to $200 employing an indian, now nothing here suggest chinese labor is cheap, but if you go abit further if you give this chinese a 3 hour task he will properly finish it in 1.5 hours and giving the same tsk to india he pwill probally needs the entire 3 hours or more to complete the task and in that sense YES you are right chinese labor is cheap compare to indian

. .
BHEL is a typical incompetent indian losers talk a lot, little deliver. they can't compete with the chinese..they ask their government to ban them, but their government is not listening. they know who's better. collaboration is the only option they have now.lol

China power gear better than Bhel’s
Sanjay Dutta, TNN | Jul 14, 2011, 12.51am IST

NEW DELHI: Amid demand from domestic industry for duty barriers against power equipment imports from China, the Planning Commission has said plants set up with Chinese gear have shown better performance than those using items supplied by state-run Bhel.
The panel's report card on the power sector's performance so far in the 2007-12 Plan period and the strategy for 2011-12 also raises concerns over Bhel's management capacity in setting up new plants. It also flags delayed supply of equipment by the company as one of the impediments to increase the pace of generation capacity addition this fiscal.
"Bhel has added new manufacturing capacity but has poor management capacity in setting up new power plants. There has been serious delay in plants where Bhel has supplied T&G (turbine & generator) or boilers. Performance of new power plants based on Chinese equipment is better," the report card says.
Indeed, delay in equipment supply by Bhel has been a recurrent theme in almost all meetings to review the government's capacity addition plan. Major projects, including those that were planned for the Commonwealth Games, have been delayed due to Bhel's failure to deliver key equipment such as turbines, generators and boilers on time.

And how do you knw this?? You personally checked the working time of labourers??
If you are quoting from report, you better give some sources..:azn:

if it was cheap labor, then BHEL should be biggest by far. Indians make 1/6th the wage of Chinese. A Chinese garbageman makes more than most Indian IT professionals in both purchasing power and in nominal terms.
I think what he meant was that Chinese products are cheaper, and even if he was wrong, there is no need to make insulting statments about India:disagree:
