Bhagavad Gita faces 'extremist' branding, ban in Russia

If shudar get high education and become a teacher or army officer will you then classify him in Brhamans , kashtriyas or he is still shudar ? can anyone answer ?
There is no definition for a bramhin. Anyone longing for Bramha gyan is a bramhin. Just taking birth in one specific caste doesnot make you that caste person.

.
I have read the Gita as part of my "india" orientation - process. What it says about the Shudra's was eye opening.

O great hero! The duties of Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and also of Shudras have been divided according to the qualities born of their own nature

In india - I met some Hindu people - who believed sincerely that Shudra's are responsible for their condition - because they were bad people in their previous incarnation.

You are lying, you have never even been to India, and you have never read the Gita.

There is no one who thinks that way.

In Dharma, the Varnas are not hereditary. They represent states of spiritual evolution.

There is the social construct called "jati'. It has its roots in occupational guilds, and it became ossified. It is a social issue that has nothing to do with Dharma.

Converts to Islam and Christianity are also still struggling with the Jati issue.

problem does not lies in these four mentioned systems they are names but problem lies in the way of thinking . Brahman thinks that they are superior to shudars . and the other problem is in the thinking that son of shudar can not compare to Brahman , he is always inferior .

It is clearly stated in Manusmriti that one's caste is determined not by birth but by action he performs (action here means Karma)

...and worse happened in india the caste system became a curse for hinduism . privileged class began to twist the caste system for their own benefit .....

the same can been seen every where..... even in pakistan the Brhaman class is more powerful and they control kshathriyas....right??

PUNISHMENT FOR LOW CASTE HINDUS

Apastambha Dharma Sutra III, 10-26, says:

The tongue of a Shudra, who spoke evil about a BRAHMIN should be cut off A Shudra who dared to assume a position of equality with the first three castes was to be flogged. If a Shudra overheard a recitation of the Vedas, molten tin was to be poured into his ears; if he repeated the Vedas his tongue should be cut and if he remembered Vedic hymns, his body was to be torn into pieces.

MANU, 167-272 says:

If a Shudra arrogantly teaches Brahmins Dharma, the king shall cause hot oil to be poured into his mouth and ears.
Here is the aphorism of the Brahma-Sutras:

Shravana, adhyana, arthapratishedhat smriteh ca (Brahma-Sutras 1.3.9.38)

Meaning:

The smrithi orders that shudras must be prohibited from hearing, studying and understanding the Vedas.

The Varna concept is deeper than education or occupation. It represents a state of spiritual evolution. It is not hereditary.

A Brahman is supposed to be somebody who has realized Brahma.

I will not bother to check the accuracy of your quotes. But one thing to note is that the Smritis are not religious books.

If you want to define Dharma, then the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Advaita philosophy of Adi Shankara are authentic sources. The philosophy of the Buddha is also a part of the Dharmic family.

haha you kinda answered your own question there. There is no such thing in Vedas! It's like saying Quran advocates pedophiles, adultery, terrorism and suggests that women should be used as a sex tool to give birth to Muslim babies. Which is as much of lies as what you've just quoted. :)

I doubt if any one can tell you about the authenticity. I as a Hindu have never even heard of the first book and not even 1% of the Hindus would have read Manu smriti.

Stop quoting from blogspots like "Hinduism Exposed". They are out of context verses. IF you are curious you should go find the books and read it yourself. There are million other similar blogsites and websites on the lines of "Islam Exposed", which has some pretty strange verses. Should I start asking you about the authenticity of those verses? :disagree:

There are two types of texts in Hinduism

srutis and smrithi

smriti is lesser thatn srutis .... The first source of dharma is Sruti: the Vedas or Revelation, upanishads etc.

smriti means to remember. it is written by various people

There are thousands of different types of smritis... written by various kings and manu is one of them .....

Manusmriti : Index

i did not get your point . what you want to say ?
There is no traceability to the origin of this religion. There is no name to this religion. The word "Hinduism" is what is given by the westerneres due to proximity with Sindhu river. Heck there is not even mention of word "Hindu" or hinduism in ANY of our scriptures. Its not even a religion its a way of life.

So it is termed as Sanatan Dharma or eternal religion/ way of life.

Not like someone woke up in some midnight and declared to be founder of a new religion. Ours is Sanathan (eternal) Dharma. Referring to us as Hindus may be an offence if thought in proper perspective.

Here Prophets dont found our religion. Prophets are born in the existing Sanatan Dharma. Even they dont know the origin of it. They simply follow and whatever variant they propose gets assimilated in the very same foundation ie Sanatan Dharma.
