Bhagavad Gita faces 'extremist' branding, ban in Russia

problem does not lies in these four mentioned systems they are names but problem lies in the way of thinking . Brahman thinks that they are superior to shudars . and the other problem is in the thinking that son of shudar can not compare to Brahman , he is always inferior .

If shudar get high education and become a teacher or army officer will you then classify him in Brhamans , kashtriyas or he is still shudar ? can anyone answer ?

yes,he become a brahmin/kshatriya then.

Jatt people have become kshatriya from shudra even though the Rajputs dont like it,Aheers have become Kshatriya from Shudra.

Caste based politics in india are the reason that there is still a large amount of poverty.

Rafi talking out his ***,as usual.

As per definition, by nature of his work, he is deemed to be a brahmin.

If you dig in the ancinet Indian scriptures you will all know that Rishi vihwamitra was a khstriya, who later devoted his life for search of knowledge and he was regarded as a Brahmin Lord Brahma. (Prophet Abraham as per Islam)
Other examples, Valmiki (a hunter) and Vyasa too.

I guess the above picture describes the Indian cast system in the best form
Indeed a picture is better then 10000 words

i sincerely dont knw why the kid is bathing in bull piss but it has nothing to do with caste system.

as per my understanding, caste system was a exploitative system created by brahmins. they corrupted the people's mind posing as a middlemen between god. at that time if u have to interact with god then u hv to go through brahmins.

All folk god and gods in hinduism were kshatriyas(who really tried to reform Hinduism, breaking all caste barriers) e.g. lord rama, krishna, gautam buddha.

and in medieval times it was devout farmer class like jats etc, who tried to reform people.

And for caste-ism swami vivekanand during Chicago speeches made it clear that there are 2 kinds of hinduism.

1 Ceremonial - its for those who are part of society. casteism exists, still in rural india reforms are needed.

silver lining is

2. Spiritual Hinduism - any caste person can become a sage. Even a brahmin will welcome him without asking his caste. caste is non existent there.

Those banning bhagvad gita are rejecting all 18 forms of Yogas, but still god bless them.

Brahmins have nothing to do with the evils of Caste system, just like people in power brahmins in power have abused the caste system.Thats all.

What do this group in Russia do ? precisely are they doing anything illegal , like terrorism or fighter why is this even a issue? there must be something to story why would Russia do something like this to anger Man Mohand Singh panday

Mind your language.. You don't have to prove in every other post you make what a big moron you are..

Iskon followers are one of the peaceful world over.. It's just sickening to see somebody can put a ban even on a translated version of Bhagwad Gita.. On all the ancient literature around the world, Bhagwad Gita has some of the best teachings..
most important message from Gita in my opinion is -

"On action alone be thy interest,

Never on its fruits. Let not the fruits of action be thy motive, Nor be thy attachment to inaction."

translation

man should not keep his interests on the fruition of deeds but rather on the tranquility produced in the mind by pusuing the deed itself.

And Bhagwad Gita was highly praised by the likes of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Aldous Huxley, Albert Einstein, J. Robert Oppenheimer,Ralph Waldo Emerson, Carl Jung, Heinrich Himmler and Herman Hesse.

This is height on insecurity by some to give bad name to one of the peaceful and lovely literature in the world. Sick!!

I hope some body files a petition against it in higher courts. I think the judgement is not yet out it's gonna be out on Monday..

its not good people should have right for read there religious books . it will never end here soon other religions will come under this in russia .

This shows the real face of Christianity. No wonder they can do such things anywhere they are from banning and burning books to restricting religious practices. These bastards would cry a river when someone teach some lessons to these Christian missionary thugs.

To my Pakistani brothers please do not talk about Hindu religion, not because we are defensive about it but you are sounding clueless idiots when talking about the same. Not only you guys will end up getting your myths busted but some hot head Indian will start abusing your beloved religion as well, unfortunately.

Its not the Question of Hindus of Indian Origin...Its about the People of Russian origin who have Taken up Hindu way of Life...

''A large centre is being built in Moscow, which was initially opposed by the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2003 the authorities asked devotees to vacate their temple in exchange for a piece of land on which they could build a bigger temple.[4]

This was followed immediately by mass protests orchestrated by the Russian Orthodox Church which did not want land given to a temple that was "converting Russian Christians to a Hindu way of life". Hindus were victimized, threatened, bullied, beaten and subject to violence. A misinformation campaign was launched against Hindus by the Orthodox Church.[5]

Finally, in November 2005, the Mayor of Moscow canceled the land order and took away the piece of land given for the construction of the Hindu temple.

On November 29, 2005, Archbishop Nikon of the Russian Orthodox Church sent a letter to the mayor of Moscow, describing the Hindu deity Krishna as an 'evil demon'.[6][7] The letter continued in that manner, using words such as 'satanic'.

The Russian Church has strong influences in the government and the church doesn't seem to like Hinduism Again it's no loss for Russia.

You cannot create a society without the caste system .

this four castes are there in every society , irrespective of any religion, country .

bhramans :- priests, teachers
kashthriyas : - army , police
vysyas : Business class
sudras : - People who does service to others

correct me if im wrong

Very nice way to put it. But some people can fall in between two different classes/types.

On January 14, 2006, Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone handed over letters expressing concern about the harassment of Russian Hindus by the Moscow Government and the Russian Orthodox Church to the visiting Mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov in London, even as British Parliamentarians led by Ashok Kumar MP, Lord Dholakia and Baroness Flather got ready to host the launch of the Defend Russian Hindus campaign at the House of Commons on 18 January of the same year.

British Parliamentarians and members of the Hindu, Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities will adopt a resolution at the Defend Russian Hindus launch at the House of Commons, urging the Moscow Government to stop harassment of minority religions in Russia. Parliamentarians from all three parties will later hand a copy of this resolution to the Russian Ambassador in London.[4]

Shame you tell the half truth
