BGB-BSF celebrate Holi along border

Awami regime minister Motia Chowdhury who claim to be Muslim, using Hindu ritual to greet indian minister.

Now Awami regime forcing BDR to adapt another Hindu ritual of "Holi". No one should be surprised where Awami regime is taking Bangladesh.
Well I am not surprise because most awami leaders look and act like hindus than muslims. This Motia look lik she would be good candidate to serve her hindu master as housemaid.

Most of the guys are anti hindu? We live right beside India, and either you like it or not, most of the people at least now are pretty much anti indian due to its hegemonic attitude against our people. THere are hindus living all over bangladesh and they have been living pretty peacefully, at least for most of them since the birth of Bangladesh. We have no problems with hindus whatsoever, but it should be crystal clear that they should be liable for country they are born in and at least support the sovereignty of the country.

Same old BS! Instead of this rant, give us facts of how Indian government has affected your sovereignty. You guys have been taught to hate us and you are making your masters proud. Atleast in Pakistan's case there is a reason for suspecting Hindus as both the governments consider each other as enemies. It just baffles be how much unadulterated hatred you guys must have been fed to hate us without any major reason.

That's the best you could find? That is an Indian way of greeting and not a Hindu ritual. try to look through your hate and you'll find a benign diplomacy followed by a politician.

Now has Obama has become a Hindu?

Like you are serving the crusaders?

Also the riba based bank account! What does it make you?

It is not unusual if a minister greets his/her Indian counterpart with Namaskar. But, I have checked the photograph very carefully, and I could not see Matia Chowdhury is greeting with Namasker. Look at her THUMB. It is bent inward which we sometimes do when we say SALAM. In case of namaskar, the THUMB does not bend at all and two hands are to be seen together.

But, anyway please do not degrade this forum by sending posts that shows your feeble mind. Be a brave like a good muslim. Greetings can be in any language and in any way that can duly be understood and appreciated by the person you meet.

Note, we have also Christian, Hindus and budhists. They sometimes say SALAM, we also sometimes say Namaskar or Adab. Why are you making fuss on these tiny things. Do not talk like a puritan with an impure mind.

Have you ever shook hands with anyone "Christian style"?

Holi is a festival of the Hindus. Since time immemorial, Hindus want the Muslims to be part of their happiness on this occasion. They distribute sweets and sometimes forcefully, but innocently, feeds them sweets. Why some are talking ills of a good event and of also a good opportunity that close the division between the two communities? During Eid, Muslims also invite the Hindu neighbours and friends to their homes along with muslims. I have never seen a single objection to this from any one. Why then HOLI should be an issue to lash insults to the Hindus?

Exactly... last I knew BD still has a significant percentage of non-muslims and they are your countrymen... people who believed in your country and were proud of the Bangla heritage.... festivals are an excellent opportunity to share your happiness and culture with others. If you are trying to create a secular society, then why create so much fuss over such a joyful festival.

I sure hope people with such narrow minded thoughts are rare in BD. Thanks eastwatch for your valuable opinions on this matter.

It also muslim way to greet and Islam is the final and revised version of Christanity.

 Also hand shake originated in Greece, it has nothing to do with Christianity, just like namaste/namaskar has nothing to do with Hinduism. I feel awkward thinking that there are people out there who think like the way you do.:hang2:

Precisely... I just wanted you to say that. Now you understand that the way of greetings are not limited to religion alone, but rather cultures.

Thank you for asking. Since the awami govt came into power,
-Financial irregularities to set up Airtel, not to mention while Airtel itself got priority to get electricity, none of the our companies got any at that period.
-BSF''s brutal killings of innocent bangladeshi citizens
-Other Indian businesses which will directly put constraint on our national assets
-Phensidyl companies set up by mainly by indians.
Offcourse i can go on and on.. and the ones i mentioned are official and not just claims. It seems to be that you are prejudiced towards us, and this is exactly what I was talking about. And seriously, BNP or any other political parties have no hate against you. I can promise you there's no hate among any of the major mainstream political parties against Indians in general. Both of the parties know that India is a major factor towards/against our development. the difference between awami league and BNP is that people generally does not trust awami league when it comes to deal with India. And many users even in this forum has clearly mentioned, India is doing what any country would do: look after their needs first before others. SO tell me mr jayron. Am I wrong that i am concerned about my country's need before yours?

You do know that these are private companies, right? The Indian govt. has no stake in them, an will gain nothing by pushing them in Bangladesh. If you guys are threatened by them, then simply don't use their products/services. They will automatically go out of business...

-BSF''s brutal killings of innocent bangladeshi citizens

Controversial. Those ppl were illegally trying to enter India. IMO the BSF was well within their rights to shoot them down.

Anyways, now BSF won't use lethal ammo against them, a privilege not even extended to Indians...

We all know how the world of capitalism works. Once an institution has been set up and in function, it will be hard to drive them out(like many people oppose macdonalds and armani for animal fur). There are allegations of irregular financial misappropriation, and they have surpassed many legal barriers thru awami regime. They have received more benefits than most companies do when they enter bangladesh.

^^^

I hope you extend the same hostility towards the US government when you use an Ipod, or towards the Chinese govt. when you use whatever they produce...

Edit: If you think undue favours have been extended to some Indian companies, then the right way to protest is in Courts, not by hating an entire country.
