The overall slowing down of the economy likely. These figures will bounce back up once the economy starts expanding again.
So tell me, you and SuperKaif are one and the same, right? Same writing style, same thinking..and you guys mostly thank each other..Even use the same "dim wit" on everyone...
Great minds think alike mate.
So tell me, you and SuperKaif are one and the same, right? Same writing style, same thinking..and you guys mostly thank each other..Even use the same "dim wit" on everyone...
But this is the average hours per worker isn't it? Even if some jobs are lost people with jobs will still work the same hours, no?
what do you base your economics on I'm curious. The debt issue is a long term problem and not a near term issue. There are actions being taken to reduce that debt and it will be sucessful. But the claims of the US demise is a hoot when it's treasury bills are still sold at 2% ! lowest interest rates ever!... That tells you it is a solid economy or is considered as as one world wide... Its 15 trillion economy 3x larger the next country on GDP standings.
we all heard in the 80's how japan was going take over the US blah blah... we have all heard the talk about Us demise many a times- but facts on the ground show that it's fundamentals are strong--- world still looks at the US to lead the way ... markets still have full confidence in the US. did you even know that there is 3 trillion dollars sitting in its companies coffers waiting to invest? Its not a cash flow issue amongst them , its just a " waiting on demand and some regulatory changes " issue. Those things will change for the positive at some point and I suspect in the next 3 years tops (as do most economists)
I've noticed how the " Us is going down clan here" - have ignored a call for economical realties pointed out above..
the "american work ethic" is really overrated. you do not see how Koreans and Japanese work. 12 hour days are nothing unusual.
the US will kick and scream alot as it goes down. and thats what makes the US so dangerous. unlike the USSR, which did not unleash its nuclear arsenal when it collapsed, we can't be so sure that the US won't take a mad dog approach when it starts to break up like the Soviet Union. After all the US supported the mad dog military dictators of South Korea, South Vietnam, Chile, Iraq, Greece, Nicaragua, etc etc.
That is why having a large thermonuclear deterrent is vital against the US and why every developing country not allied to the US is scrambling to make nukes: you don't want to be bitten by the mad dog when it goes down.
Just like the pro american are ignoring the fact that america has an unsustainable debt of 14 trillion. Actually im better of than america cos i got £5 in my pocket.
Take a look at this please, showing the number of hours worked per worker per year in many countries over the last several years:
USA is not as lazy as you would think.
Yeah think you just flew off the handle there.
Trust me mate the yanks are very hard workers, they wouldnt be at the point end of just about every technology if they werent. From my experience with American's they have a very motivated and outgoing personality. They are great, fun and intelligent people to be around. They are not going to be launching any nukes or waves of soldiers across the ditch, thats not realistic at all. I cant see why the USSR would launch nukes either, the US and the USSR we quite cozy nearing the end of the communist era.
In regards to your last paragraph, that attitude is very 1960's. Nowadays having nukes makes you the target, it will cause other countries to develop their own capabilities or countermeasures. It also takes a big chunk of resources away from projects where it could be better spent. The US is not some mad dog that will lash out and unleash hell. It will be more of a stock market adjustment.
Japanese work less than Mexicans. For one time, try writing a post based on actual facts...
Where did you get this info?
And Mexicans work more than Americans.
Koreans still work 40% more than Americans.
If China was included then I bet we'd be right up there with Koreans.
The chart is kind of counterintuitive in other ways.
Germans have a reputation for being hard workers but they're really lazy.
Greeks have a reputation for being lazy but they work 50% longer than Germans.
This shows that Germany's propaganda has been very successful while Greece's hasn't.
