Best way to greet people

. . . . . .
¿Cómo está? :laughcry:

No, at least in mainland, we should say: have you eaten meals? :woot:

Oh yeah, in the mainland you guys say: "Ni chi guo le ma?"

In HK we say the Cantonese equivalent of this Mandarin phrase: Ni zen me yang?

The Cantonese slang way of saying it would be: "你点啊?" (Nei dim ah?)

. .
Greeting people takes a little bit too long in my hometown

. .
So what do you guys/girls think is the best way to greet people from like these:

British - Handshake

Indian - Namaste

Bangladesh/pakistan/Arab? - Salam

East Asia- Bow

French - La bise

My favorite is the french way of greeting la bise. Like where else do you get to kiss a girl you are meeting for the first time? :yahoo:

The Muslim salam... sends peace and blessings to whoever is being greeted...

I was correct at saying bow for east asia right? you guys do bow down when you say ni hao? I dont have many Asian friends only a korean guy and he only says hello :/
Japanese bow....

.
That's how I do it

. .
An "I will find him" greeting

.
And how many times have you been then on the receiving end of a random woman's sandal for trying to greet her like that ?

Brother that is not Pakistan :P I guess that's the Canadian Indian way of greeting and people would understand :D
