Seriously man he is the worst of his kind.Member of the biggest political party of the nation,have been the CM of MP but still he acts and behaves like he a 16 year old Kid.

It's an act, the mother of all acts. This 16 year old didn't seem to have any problems victimizing Arvind Kejriwal with his service loan obligations. Don't look like the work of a kid to me.

I disagree ........Almost ALL CONGRESS leaders has recognized Rahul Gandhi as a Great Leader. They have called him one of the best.

It's a LONG list .....why are you trying to deny the congress credit for its recognition of such a great leader like Rahul Gandhi ?

Well this story you are learned in your education system, my sympathy with you. Patel has very cool minded but if he was out of control then people shake on their legs. Have you know how did he manage to dissolve princely states in Union of India & you manage to got all of kashmir if he not loose temper on nehru. He was a man who can crush anybody who become hurdle on his objective.

I have been around with many peoples in this forum as well as other Internet forums where majority posters always seems to bash Indian National Congress and its leaders for different reasons,either for playing vote bank politics or practicing dirty secularism. But they aren't as bad as they seems to be or how we pretend them to be.They have been involved in our national struggle for freedom and has ruled India for the past 40 years after Independence.

So I am starting this thread to get the opinions of the Indian Posters about their choice of the best congressi leader ever so far.
This is my first thread on this forum so please spare it from trolling and different

MY VIEW-

Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel

Why?
He Was the creator of the Union Of India that we see and live today. He is also partly responsible for the Jammu and Kashmir as an Integral part of India that we have today. A great visionary with a brilliant understanding of the situation to act accordingly. Because of his efforts we today enjoys to be a part of Union of India and are so proud of it today.

Note-If anyone doesn't consider any of the congressi leader good or even best so far his/her views are also invited and also why he/she thinks so?

u confused congress with indian national congress..this is not the same congress which brought us freedom and ruled us in the earlier stages..it was split 2 times during indira gandhi ..congress then was a secular and mostly left of the centre party.todays congress is capitalist,populist and heriditary party..
and yes i like patel..but i admire nehru the most..a historian once said if nehru was a different person then india would be a different country..ofcourse both of them consolidated india especially during tough initial times..thanks to them we're happier today

I am not a biggest fan of Nehru for one sole reason and that is his egarness to take up the matter of Kashmir to the UN if he had waited for some time the problem of Kashmir maybe didn't exits as it is today.

Indra Gandhi is one of my favorite only one thing i hate her for is the emergency in 1975.

Chill man every man has done some mistake in his life & so does he did. He lay the foundation of heavy industries, automobile industry, chemical industry, strong institutions, IIT, IIM & other big educational institutions, land reforms etc. He make dominance of civil administration on armed forces.
He laid foundation of modern India.

If you want to realise his important work then simply see in our neighbourhood.

Even nehru is not as bad as he was made out to be.Land reforms is one thing which we can remember him for.he even went to jail during freedom movement many times.he had chosen socialism for india which in hindsight might be a blunder but he was honest .He was a very great scholar too.just reading his discovery of india would make us realise how much knowledge he had and it also reflects his love for india.nehru is 100 times better than founders of some nations who havent gone to jail even once and selfish

Congress will be a default choice for the people and it will be for some time going forward. Most of the people in internet are oriented towards Modi, BJP etc that does not mean we discount the great leaders from Congress in an Post Independent India...

I feel that Congress has a good amount of leader till the point of Indira Gandhi....After Indira Gandhi, Congress never produced any leader rather they are just trying to fill in the vacuum approach by replacing one person of Gandhi Familly with another one....It would be better for Congress Party, if Party would have choosen any other person to lead the show rather than to bring in Rajiv Gandhi after demise of Indira Gandhi....From that day onwards, a tradition has been set in Indian politics that the lead role is always filled up by son and daughter rather than having a democratic and efficient set up mechanism to generate new leaders.....My worry is that if we go by the trend, it is not far away that i have to see the son of Robert Vadra become a PM of my country....

So i would rate my respected congress leader in the following passion.

1- Sardar Patel
2- Indira Gandhi
3- LB Shastri

In my personal opinion, I do not feel not see Nehru as person who is a legendary....Rather i feel that he is an overrated Congress leader who has been growth with influence of M. Gandhi. I do not find any independent thought process coming out of Nehru....

It is not like some one is discrediting rather it is a perception by the people....Rahul Gandhi is always been seems to be present himself as if he is forced into politics....He is not a leader...Congress is trying to present him because they do not have any person available with Gandhi Surname.....

Person who are liking of Congress should be honest to themselves....There are far more brilliant crop of leaders who are avaialble with Congress Party than Rahul Gandhi......I would like to see Mrs Sonia Gandhi as a PM rather than Rahul Gandhi....Apart from Mrs Gandhi, there are leaders like Digvijay Singh and many leaders who are talented and mass following in Congress...Why do you want to force someone to accept as a leader who is perceived to be very passive to Indian politics?

I feel to some extent you are right...I would rate Chidambaram and AK Antony as leader who deserve respect for their ability in their governance and admiration from people across different parties. Ramesh and Sibal are just followers of leaders...I donot see they have any ability of a leader of a group...

What the work of sibbal you think is underperformed except his badmouthing.
Jairam Ramesh is a sensible, responsible & honest lawmaker but not mass leader of such people who prefer temples & mosques over toilet.

Sibal and Ramesh are not leaders....they seems to be as too much elite class...They are good for some minister....But why do you so choosy to some particular people when you have some good leaders who has pan Indian appeal like Antony and Chidambaram....These are the people who have Pan Indian appeal....Why do not you go for them?

I am not choosing only mass leaders but also performers which both have capable & I am not saying they are mass leaders but good administrators of their respective departments.
