Bengladeshi Opinion of Kashmiris

I have few Kashmiri (Muslims) friends and they are anything but Indian. Now you can disagree for the sake of disagreement but you know it is the truth.

Let me guess, you meant fair skin and light eyes as traits that make them non-Indian.

i am really curious as to what you consider an indian to be?

does this "indian" you imagine have oriental features like assamese and gurkhas?

or has dark skin and curly hair like the malyalees?

or wears a turban like the sikhs?

please tell me what this "indian" looks like, so that i can agree about the kashmiris being so different

I think there are 5 parties to kashmir dispute.
1.bangladesh (dues to legacy of partition and legacy of independence)
2.china(due to parts occupied by it and gifted to it)
3.india(parts under it)
4.pakistan(parts under it)
5.kashmiris(actual residents).

BD has no role whatsoever , not now not ever !!

I am not giving my opinion here in this post what are the solutions for the Kashmir problem. But, I must say that since Kashmir is the main source of water, therefore, India is not willing to vacate Kashmir. If India vacates Kashmir the control of all the main sources of water in the Sub-continent will go under Pakistani control. Pakistan will dictate its terms in sharing water. So, good or bad, India will not vacate Kashmir.

  Baluchistan for Pakistan.
  Tibet for China.

If People of Baluchistan & Tibet will get chance to decide there fate........ so will Kashmiris.

We need to understand one thing, that these States/ Provinces of India, China & Pakistan can demand any thing as an individual. But countries does not run and decides on individuals (State/ Province) wish, but is run by/For Whole nation.

these small small things will come and go every where. But Nothing will change.

Being a Bangladeshi, I would say kashmiris should fight for freedom and get their own sovereign state. But thats not possible because of Geo-politics. Atleast that way they wouldn mess up water resources, people won't die anymore. India and pakistan would become friendly. And we over here would be able to sleep well. I've always dreamt of visiting Kashmir someday but it had become hell on earth anyways.

Azadi not main concern in Kashmir, Islam is: Jamaat

Srinagar: Kashmir's grand old religious-cum-political outfit Jamaat-i-Islami, which is the parent party of Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, on Monday said that the propagation of religion, and not the pursuit of politics and power, is its primary concern, and hence, the struggle for Azadi is secondary for it.

"Jamaat was primarily founded for the propagation of religion. Our first duty is to fulfil this obligation. Resolution of Kashmir is secondary for us," Jamaat Amir Sheikh Ghulam Hassan told The Indian Express.

"However, as a party we have to respond to the evolving situation and day-to-day problems. Kashmir is one such problem and we seek its peaceful settlement," he added.

The Jamaat's assertion is significant, as it seems to dissociate itself from the separatist narrative, despite being at the forefront of political groundwork for the separatist movement in 1989. Now Jamaat's leaders are seen addressing only religious gatherings.

Hassan said there was no ban on the propagation of religion. "We can continue with our primary job of spreading the message of Islam. The Constitution of India doesn't bar it. Otherwise, how could Jamaat-i-Islami, Hind, function in this country?," he said.

Wrong comparison.

Kashmir for India is like Gilgit Baltistan to Pakistan.
Baluchistan is a province of Pakistan, not a disputed territory. You can compare Baluchistan to North eastern states of India where insurgency is going on if you are so interested to discuss.

I think India will NEVER EVER give up Kashmir,its the source of water to the north..
we don't care about Kashmiris(WHO PROTEST AND STONE PELTERS),they can go where ever they want...
If other peaceful Kashmiris can live peacefully and allow development to take place..

that's the reality....

I think Kashmiris are not seriously serious. So they are still under Indian hegemony. They need inspirations from BD about how to get busted emotionally, be strongly integrated and fight until their goal achieved. But there is no possibility without direct the intervene of Pakistan and China. I think there is no peaceful solution on Kashmir Issue but some wars or random suicide attacks.


Anyway, Kashmir Issue has no comparison with Baluchistan Issue. It's the Bharatis making fuss in air. And whether India would agree or not, Bangladeshis can talk for Kashmiris for it's legacy and our Muslim brotherhood.
