It is always difficult to give deadline for the end of conflict in insurgency related conflicts. However army has done a great job and credit should be given to them.

NYT report does not reflect the correct situation. Infact US media never portrays right picture about Pakistan.

Not to sound too cynical, but I have every faith that our government will once again screw it up.

The Pakistani government is so utterly and completely dominated by Sindhi and Punjabi interests that they neglect all other provinces.

Absolutly, they only regard the interest of Punjab and Sindh as their main priority, above even their own personal interests. That's why we see Punjab and Sindh so prosperous. A common Sindhi and punjabi man living and enjoying the life to the fullest without being deprived of any basic life neccessity, i.e clean water, electricity, affordable food commedities, education, fair justice etc. It's a kick being a Punjabi or Sindhi in Pakistan, boy for their leaders are there busting their ***** for them by trampling on the rights of other minorties in the nation.

As bad as things are in Punjab and Sind, they are a lot worse in Sarhad and, especially, Balochistan.

Balochistan has been supplying natural gas to the country for more than 40 years but 97 percent of its population does not have gas connections. Don't even ask about electricity although, given the load shedding in Karachi and Lahore, it probably wouldn't do much good anyway.

People don't want to separate from a country if they are treated as equal citizens. But if you treat people as second class citizens, then foreign troublemakers will take advantage and encourage separatism.

The Bengalis got fed up with their second class treatment and the Indians exploited that division.

We are repeating the same mistake with the Balochis.

I agree the government is so pathetic they can't deliver to any of its citizens. Not even the rich folks in Karachi and Lahore, let alone the poor people in the neglected provinces.

you're kidding, right?There is 12 hour load shedding in 24 hours regularly in Lahore.
