What appears to be a sea-storm in Western media does not even move hairs in China.
Why allow it in the first place? You know they are trouble since day one.

i think they get some kind of credit points to go to heaven if they can convert a nonbeliever. lol. at least they don't blow people up :D

Yes,they are definitely more sophisticated than their rival missionary cousins.

I think the more conversions, the more heaven points.

Why allow it in the first place? You know they are trouble since day one.

In part due to "recognition" by the Vatican. In return for diplomatic recognition, Taipei allows them a great area for maneuver. I guess they do not check how much foreign money is invested in missionary business in Taiwan.

Luckily, Daoism is strong and mainstream, so, it provides a buffer.
