BeatMe ‘I am UNbeatable’: Pakistani women challenge men in powerful new video

A video released by the United Nation for Women in Pakistan featuring nations’ strong women as they speak up against gender-based violence.

“Try to beat me, I am UNbeatable”, sets to break patriarchal ideologies of Pakistani society. UNWomen’s latest campaign brings a twist to the advocacy on women’s rights and in the video, women are seen inviting a man to beat them – but at the things they excel at.

From Meesha Shafi’s powerful invite in front of a microphone saying, “Beat me with your voice” to Sana Bucha saying, “Beat me with your words”, the video is all about shattering the perception that women are feeble and weak.

Momina Mustehsan, Sarwat Gillani and Aamina Sheikh stand strong and tall alongside mountain climber Samina Baig and other prominent female figures that have proved their mettle in their respective fields, showing how women are truly unbeatable.

A very sexist advertisement ... Domestic violence is not a gender specific issue ... and portraying it as such is a fabrication of facts ...

Secondly, I personally don't understand the premise of the whole "I am unbeatable" and "beat me" .... the underlying assumption is that.... your the best at your craft ..and that you are "unbeatable"

and hence the ad gives you ..... Sana Bucha and Meesha shafi ... really ?

I thought it was a pointless ad. Showing these women as "macho" serves what agenda? There shouldn't be violence against women ? Then yes there shouldn't be, but that's one lame a** way of putting it. "Come punch me and see I'm unbeatable" No one is unbeatable even the toughest of men.
BTW the timing of this ad is impeccable, some washed up Indian actress was part of this fiasco in Paris where she allegedly got tear gassed and assaulted by 3 masked men and then she went on screen without any bruises despite getting punched in the face and said "She was unbeatable" LOL
