Indians should not abuse black people for no good reason, but I'm sick and tired of the race card used by black people. Black people in America, Europe, and other parts of the world have a history of being insulting and abusive toward Asians, Middle Easterners, Native Americans, and whites.

It's only Delhi where things like these happen( and I'm from Delhi) . Never heard of such incidents in South India, Bangalore , Mumbai etc. I'll tell you this, Delhiites are probably a shade or two fairer than an average Indian but think they are the best shit around. I'm from this city and I can attest to the fact that you'll meet the most stupid ,arrogant and pompous people in your life here. African students are better off going to cities like Pune, Bangalore , or other cities in South India. Not only do they have much better colleges , but people are much better.

Even in America black people have a disproportionately high rate of sexually harassing and raping their own women and against white women, Asian women, Middle Eastern women, Hispanic women, and other non-black women. They also have disproportionately higher rates of child neglect, STDs, stealing, robbery, assault, murder, welfare, employment assistance, major car accidents, annoying behavior (such as threats, insults, & abusing the race card), etc.

I am against racism, but abusing the race card is also an injustice.

Although not clear but he misbehaved with a female there(as per article). Yes it is sad incident, but earlier also African origin person found to be involved in unlawful activities like drugs etc.

I don't think it has any thing to do with skin. there is large number of South Indian in delhi. non get such treatment based on skin color.

Multitude of factors:
1. I think it is to do with a long history of colonialism. From the Mughals to Britishers. In both the cases the ruling class were of a different skin shade than the average Indians toiling everywhere.

2. Coupled with the fact that since we live in a tropical region, for thousands of years the poor people did manual jobs out in the sun while the rich did not...consequently forming a glaring difference in skin colour, so the the being of lighter shade started getting associated with being rich and therefore a desirable trait while being darker implied the opposite.

3. Being 'different' is good. Same reason why Caucasians get a tan, so that they look different from the regular pale white average crowd.

Though I have to agree with some other posters here. There is a reason why Africans are looked down upon. Its because a large number of Nigerians are in India and are constantly involved in drug crimes, drug trafficking and other socially undesirable actions. Consequently the people have started associating presence of Africans as problem causing. Basically Nigerians have spoiled it for every African.
