BD seeks Chinese assistance in 25 mega projects

Metro is a japan funded project.

Dhaka Metro's line 6 is Japan funded, what about future lines?

Any chance in BD to build 200-250km/h passenger railway?
It will be elevated, won't occupy too much land...
And it will have huge social and economic impact on regions along the railway....

Russia has ordered this one for their HSR....

I see the map of BD, the size is so ideal for a network of 200-250km/h....No need to go for 350km/h, too pricey.
200-250km/h is a good choice.....
Build them along expressways....a 3 dimensional transport network!

Bangladesh and China has already signed an MoU to construct an elevated high speed railway between Dhaka and Chittagong.

Awesome!
What's the distance between Dhaka and the Auspicious Great Port (Chittagong in Chinese)?

. .
About 300kms, but if you include Cox's Bazar as well the distance will be about 400 kms.
That's an ideal distance for HSR....
In my province, the distance between the two biggest two cities are 300km.
Once the 200-250km/h line opens, bus company cancels nearly all services.....
The price for second class is only $12, every 5-15 min a train from 5am to 9pm....
Now, we are planning a second one....
Every city along the corridor is crazily fighting for a stop....

$12 is about 950 Taka, which looks very reasonable, how long does it take to reach from one end to other?

Now the maximum speed is 210km/h (250km/h reserved), a standard service with 4-5 stops (8 stations in total) takes less than 2 hours. It's frequent like bus....we call it "busnised" service in Chinese....
People working in Wuhan can go home every weekend.....

On Friday and Sunday, it's normal to see passengers standing......
People in Yichang can easily travel to the provincial capital city to go shopping....
People in Wuhan can easily travel to Yichang to enjoy a relaxed weekend at the 3 Gorge region....
Local tourism, industry, housing market, etc, are facilitated by this corridor
