In Ukraine, which resisted the Russian invasion, its defense industry was the strategic element that was the most targeted by the Russian attacks together with the Ukrainian infrastructure. Despite all the international aid, as well as many sectors, the defense and aerospace field exports also came to a standstill in the country, with the start of the war. Likewise, foreign investments completely stopped.
Although the war is not over yet, Ukraine is getting its first big investment from Baykar Tech after a long time. Baykar continues its trade with Ukrainian engine companies, despite the ongoing war. This strategic rapprochement takes on a new dimension as Baykar shifts significant part of its production to Ukraine. In Baykar Tech's vision of transforming into a leading global company in its field, the focus will be on Ukraine.
The renders of the first production line and administrative center to be established by the Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar Tech in Ukraine were shared with the press.
In the first phase, at least 300 Ukrainian engineers will work at Baykar Tech Ukraine facilities. Thanks to this investment, thousands of Ukraine's qualified workforce will not have to leave their country. It will create income for thousands of families directly and indirectly.
Ukraine will become one of the world's leading drone production centers and will be among the countries that direct the studies in this field.
Not only tactical class drones, but also strategic attack aircrafts and unmanned jets will be produced at Baykar Tech Ukraine facilities.
