Barak 8 Advanced Version ?

There is a test of Barak 8 Conducted in India. As you know Barak 8 is a missile developed by India and Israel togather. Which have potential to distroy and find target in air. How advanced in the newly tested virson, what you all peoples think about this missile and its power ?

You did not follow my question. You stated it was impossible to stop large number of brahmos missiles even with Barack 8.

I asked to define 'large' i.e. when would you see larger numbers being used in such numbers that it would become impossible to stop with Barak 8 or other anti missiles . For example, no of brahmos on an aircraft, would be 1 or 2 tops. On an Indian naval ship, would be how many? 32 (Kolkata class)

The answer is 16 if going against a U.S Burke class. 64 brahmos slavos if going against Aegis class. Barak-8 can have a continuous lock on the incoming missile with its own radar and the MF-STAR can guide 24 Barak-8 missiles to 12 targets simultaneously, the saturation limit for a Kolkata class destroyer against the BrahMos stands at 12 missiles.

But that is just theoretical response. In actual combat if 64+ brahmos fired at a target at least 5-10% will hit the target.
I raise no doubt on Barack-8's capability but still engaging & destroying a lot (100+,as you like numbers) will be practically not possible as no system will be able to give 100% performance as in war situation a lot factor will influence it namely no. & distance of incoming targets, system readiness etc

It is rumored to have been tested against Brahmos

The Official IAI information does include super-sonic sea skimmers

Anything written by a poster here should be taken with a pinch of salt as many of them tend to be biased. However if you read from a post with proper references or external article that's another story altogether.

Here is a comparison of Kolkata with Type 52D which only tells about 16.

the Barak 8 will intercept a missile every time it will be launched, the amount you have is the amount you will intercept.
