If you want me to agree that the execution of Nizami (and others) are political murders, I agree with you. The victim here is not Nizami -- the man was guilty as sin, as far as I'm concerned -- but the system of justice.

His murder had very little to do with events of 1971, but its the excuse Bangladesh used to murder him. The whole point of these sham war tribunal trials is to destroy Hasina's political enemies even though, like you said, she collaborated with them!

As for why Mukti Bhani and Indian Army were not prosecuted for war crimes is due to victor's justice.

This is a political move to target opposition and any threat to a 'secular Bangladesh' ; these men barely have any links to alleged atrocities; meanwhile those responsible for the killing of tens of thousands of pro-Pakistani Bengalis during 1971 are openly roaming around and enjoying a special status. Killing 70-90 year old men in which there is no evidence to prosecute them is just sickening and cowardice. Eventually all internal threats to Hasina's regime will meet the same way.

Unfortunately half the world is buying this shit and Pakistan/Turkey are the only countries that have the balls enough to speak out about it.
