Bangladesh’s Jessia Islam in Top 40 in Miss World

Miss World Bangladesh Jessia Islam has been selected in the top 40 of the Miss World competition being held in China.


In a Facebook post today Jessia wrote, “By the grace of Almighty Allah and prayers of my beloved friends, family & country I have been selected for top 40 in Miss World 2017 and winner of head to head challenge. Keep me in your prayers.”

The Bangladesh representative at the Miss World 2017 won the Head to Head Challenge and advanced to top 40 among 120 contestants, Jessia said in the Facebook post.

Jessia along with other contestants participated in various activities in China including attending the 4th China International Circus Fest and the ICB (International Business Centre) Fashion Party, and more, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

The grand finale of the Miss World will take place on 18 November at the Sanya City Arena in China.

Jannatul Ferdous Oishi, has reached the Top 20 for the Miss World competition




Oishi became the champion of group six in the head-to-head challenge

Miss World Bangladesh 2018 winner, Jannatul Ferdous Oishi, has reached the Top 20 for the Miss World competition.

Miss World 2018 is being held in Sanya, China, and is considered to be the the world’s premiere beauty pageant. Oishi won the crown of Miss World Bangladesh 2018 on September 30, as a result of which she has been representing Bangladesh in the main competition in China.

Oishi became the champion of group six in the head-to-head challenge. If she continues like this, she might reach the grand finale of the competition. That would mean that she is in the run for becoming “Miss World 2018,” after leaving behind thousands of beautiful contestants from all over the world.

Oishi was born in Matibhanga village of Pirojpur district, in Barisal division. This eighteen-year-old contestant passed her higher secondary examination this year with Science as her major. She won the title of Miss World Bangladesh 2018 over 30,000 contestants from Bangladesh.

Last year’s Miss World Bangladesh, Jessia Islam, reached the Top 40 at the Miss World competition. The grand finale of Miss World will be held on December 8. India’s Manushi Chhillar won the competition last year.

And she should put on weight.

You are right. That photo did not fairly judge her actual beauty. Photos can be misleading. It can exaggerate or minimize the look of a person. But videos are harder to distort. Jessia is quite an attractive looking girl. Which can be seen from a normal talk show.
