Choice should've been made in 1947. Sadly some incompetent politicians thought being with the "muslim brothers" we would prosper together, keeping ummah unity. Then came the 24 years of deprivation from the so called Muslim brothers. For the sake of unity of muslim brotherhoodship bengalis decided to be with one 'nation pakistan'. It was the biggest mistake ever and costed Bengalis much lives, population fled (lost educated middle class people) and last but not least great amount of wealth looted to make develope Islamabad new capital in the west wing.
This was all was down upon us for making the biggest bad choice to keep the muslim brotherhood and unity going, being one country separated into two wings.

If the bengalis leaders had any wise sense, and seeked a separate bengali land Bangladesh from start, instead of going with the Punjabi dominated area what is now known as Pakistan, then we would've seen Bangladesh much better off today, Bangladesh could've definitely been worlds top 25 economy by now.

An independent BD was at risk of invasion by India which it could not hope to stop.

There was a proposal for a greater BD of BD, West Bengal and the NE states, which actually was viable,

True, 1971 is a glorious chapter in our history as we became finally independent.And Pakistan was our adversary that time.But perpetuating that war time animosity even after 47 years is a pure crap. There is no sanity in this position specially when most of the Pakistani people already regret the excess committed by their armed forces and have goodwill towards Bangladesh.I am very much emotional about our liberation war and want Pakistan to officially repent of what their army did in 1971, but willing to left it to the collective Pakistani conscience to consider.That is the only type of repentance we should seek.Will we get any kind of regret/apology from Pakistan if we make them our enemy for no good reason? Remember in 2002, Parvez Musharraf came to Bangladesh and apologize for the excess committed by Pakistani army.We didn't demanded that, he done that spontaneously and surprised us.Even 2-3 years ago, an active debate were going on in Pakistan whether to officially apologize to Bangladesh.May be the next generation Pakistani will be courageous enough to finally do the thing? But for that to happen,we have to maintain friendly relation with Pakistan.

Truth is truth brother. Islam has no bias, whats truth and fact, is just that.

Each to their own. But my point is unless they formally apologise we should never be having good relationship with Pakistan. They have caused severe harm to Bengalis, looted us killed us raped our women. We can't act all nice and be brothers with them blindly, just because they claim to be Muslim nation, for that fact India has more muslims what do you say? We should be close with India too?.
A true Muslim brother is one who isn't a filthy rapist, killer of millions of innocent lifes. A true muslim is fair and wise, and good human not namesake muslim who has islmic name but committed wicked haram and evil which in this case the Pakistanis in 71!
