Bangladeshis demand trial of Gen (retd) Moeen U Ahmed

Moeen escaped to US and so did Fakruddin and other DGFI rouge elements of 1/11.

Before Moeen left he shifted some portion of his financial asset to Singapore. I have learned his brother who runs big business (selling indian Ashok Leland trucks in BD) are also shifting big chunk of their asset to india in anticipation of further legal actions.

Thanks Doctor. I was about to ask you the source for this thesis.

AL leaders mum over Moeen case

Staff Corresponded

The ruling Awami League presidium members kept mum about BNP leader Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku’s filing of a case against former army chief general Moeen U Ahmed.

Tuku, former state minister for power, on Sunday sued Moeen for defamation and Tk 100 crore in damages with a Dhaka court,
which asked the former army chief to explain in three weeks why his house at Baridhara DOHS should not be attached.

When asked, three AL presidium members — Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed and Suranjit Sengupta— declined to make any comment in this regard.

In Moeen case, if he gets shot dead it will be by RAW, his handler. Everyday Moeen is becoming a burden.

It is my appeal to you all, for understanding from you, for reneging on my promise to release part II of my writings as I had begun.
As you also may have guessed that I was in your midst in my attempts at finding the latest news on MUA and the process of googling led me to you. And with all of those Army ranks that go with our identities, I also thought this was a military site - and as such my writings are also in the manner that addresses our military. And so you may feel a tad uncomfortable reading that and I was also hesitant in releasing it.
But nonetheless there is something that we all can take from this as well

And so, up it goes on a new thread 'BALLS OF STEEL' btw this also is incomplete because I have stopped in my tracks. Pls do let me know if u wish me to continue.
I also wish to personally thank our friend khabib for leading me down this road - 'khabib, thank you'
Thank you

For those of us still knowing about the whereabouts of MUA -
He is now in Florida with his brother. In about 2 hours from now he is to attend the wedding of his nephew - but he's hesitant to come out of the house as Bangladeshis there are also preparing to throw shoes at him.
You know, 'shoes thrown' as in Shoes thrown at George Bush in Iraq.
He has told his near family that he is in constant fear and worry, as he is being chased and followed everwhere by those who wish to accost and insult him.

Sometimes, I wonder if the complains against MUA is real or imaginary. To receive a few stallions from Indian army was certainly a great offence, he simply sold the prestige of BD. But what are his other offences? Do people dislike him only because he did not push for a BNP victory by any means? But, was it possible for him? I guess he must have other faults, but I am quite unaware of those. Could someone highlight his offences, please!

As an appetizer I suggest reading the thread, 'FROM POLASHI TO BANGABHABAN'
It has an uncanny resemblance to the real events - and I am sure our other fellow compatriots will certainly fill you in with greater details, as also I will.

The complaints against MUA are real. He took the Indian stallions and sold out the country. After his India trip he followed an exclusively Indian agenda and practically rigged the elections for an AL victory. He also betrayed the army during the Pilkhana massacre and has resorted to covering up evidence to save the real masterminds. Just before he left for retirement he submitted list of 100 officers who should be dismissed from service. By all accounts he is a traitor.

Is there any Indian influence in the top slot of BD Army?
You have to understand the psyche of Bangladeshis. All are patriots, and so do not trust anyone who ever talks with or photographed with Indian VIPs. These patriots would immediately term him as an Indian stooge or a RAW agent. In reality, that person was just maintaining a kind of relationship needed in the diplomatic world.

This is why we people started to call Zardari of Pakistan the greatest traitor ever born after Mir Zafar Ali Khan when he went to India last year and said something vague about the Kashmir issue. Similarly, Gen. Moin's position during the two years of CTG was a little precarious. So, he had to maintain a good relationship with India.

But, all the rumours started to spread wild when he received a few THOROUGHBRED stallions from India. This could be the main reason that people call him a traitor. Otherwise, I do not believe that the top brass of the army is under Indian influence. Military people are certainly more patriot than any average citizen of BD.

Kids listening MBI ? Feels cool when they accept what you say without asking for a iota of logic/proof. Feels warm hiding behind those word's.

I really find your defense of Moeen, incomprehensible - unless you be near related. In which case it would make perfect sense.
And this is not about his receiving the stallions, that is not an issue here. Anybody can receive a gift from anyone - we can even receive squadron or two or even more of LCAs from India as a token of friendship and goodwill and as a promotion to get us going in this line of acquiring Indian made Defense related equipments and in return for such a gift we could give them a chest of our finest blended TEA.

What is so striking here that he was so open about his support for BAL even during his hey days of the Care Taker Govt. Sheikh Mujib was the Father of the Nation and so much else. We do not need a father from him. We already have a father, everyone of us.

His trying to balance out with India for the precariousness of his position is also not valid here. He was trying actually to secure his own position and the interests of his family fortune which were closely related to business, rather than the interests of the nation. And now do you wish me to go into the BDR tragedy? Well I can see it is on a different head.

I do not think Khaleda Zia would have sacked him, had she have won those elections that she had no chance of winning.
Now, you must have begun to wonder if i have gone totally nuts.

I think she wud have extended his tenure, should she have been reelected, hypothetically speaking > To tie him up upside down on a tree inside the GHQ with his table beneath him to carry on with his official duties.
And a nice spectacle he would have made too hanging like a bat in front of his office, with people all around saluting him.
Something to muse over.

Below I have copied and pasted the latest news on MUA taken out from 'News From Bangladesh'

Gen Moeen hits back: All criticism against me mere propaganda

Corrupt politicians released from jail thru' loopholes of law

Sunday August 09 2009 02:42:38 AM BDT

The former chief of army staff Gen (Retd) Moeen U Ahmed, who is now in the United States of America (USA), claimed that he was the only general who stood beside the people during the crisis moment and kept his promises to the nation in preserving democracy.(The New Nation)

Brushing aside all allegations against him by political leaders of the country, he made it clear that all these were merely propaganda to tarnish his image.

"What sorts of politics is that ," he wanted to know while giving an interview with the New York based weekly ' Ajkal Patrika' recently, according to reports of News World received here yesterday from New York.

"I have served the nation and I am still trying to do so and hope to continue also in future," he said while referring to his commitment to the caretaker government for the return of the country to the democratic rule.

"We tried our best in returning the country towards healthy politics and put the country on the right track of democratic rule as well as by issuing National Identity Card by the Election Commission (EC) ," he said.

He said the army played an important role in conducting a free, fair and transparent election in the country.

Replying to a question on the release of detained persons, who were arrested on graft charges during the caretaker government as part of purgation, he said," We confined the corrupts to jail. But they got released on bail through the loopholes of law," he said.

The former army chief said it is political game when responding to questions of cases by BNP against him. He said what he has done, he has done so for the interest of the people of Bangladesh.

He said he wants to serve the country. It is the job of all of us to work together to build the country, he said. He urged all the expatriate Bangladeshi to play responsible role against aggressive, propaganda and unpleasant programmes in the name of politics.

Replying to a question he said he did not notice any one staging demonstration in Florida when attending wedding reception of his nephew recently.

The New Nation

He still wishes to serve his country - as if this country has not been serviced enough by him already.
