Lol. No country in the world takes an armed rebellion lightly and neither did Pakistan army. Mukti Bahini were armed rebellion and were dealt with as suchabsolutely and we must accept history for closure, the Pak Army did rape and murder Bengalis in 1971 and as revenge the Muktis did the same. Biharis born today should be intergrated into the Bengali community and Pakistanis must understand why Bengalis wanted independence. If you do not successfully intergrate all your citizens, India will take advantage of it like it did with the Mukti Bahinis
As far as rape is concerned, Pakistan army was outnumbered and outgunned by many to one and having an election to rape or having the time to rape was out of question. Surviving another hour from Bengali hoard and saving self from attacking Indian army air forces and navy was the priority.
You try having an erection under such situation??
Yeah they had many, but not enough to hold all positions. "Outsiders" such as Muslim migrants from India the so called Urdu speaking were desperately needed.Bangladeshis of that time had many educated people.Let us confess without making any excuses that our discrimination (and hatred/racism) towards the East Pakistan was unjust. Moreover, After the first acceptable (in terms of fairness), PPP lost. The elite of West Pakistan (Military[Yahya wanting to stay president] and Politician[ Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto]) must have given the right to rule both East and West Pakistan to Awami League. But, Alas! our wrong policies distanced us from our own. We have also killed many innocents on their side... But their hands are also dirty. In civil war, both sides spill blood. I don't blame them-It was us who made them treacherous.
But, I also do not understand the allegations set forward towards us by the state of Bangladesh. The facts and figures they cry about are grossly exaggerated. Many innocent people were also killed by their so called freedom fighters. Many atrocities were done by someone else and the blame was put on Pakistani Forces. Manipulation of India and support of India in Mukhti Bani (and similar organizations) did not help either. Anyway, now look at the sorry state of the country. Bangladesh needs course correction and sort out its affairs. I wish it the very best. Please do not drag us (Pakistan) into your politics too and become politically, economically & militarily independent.
After the war, Many people who migrated to Bangladesh departed with sadness and hoped that when it becomes politically stable, they can again be united. And I think the same situation must be present there in Bangladesh with the West Pakistani people.
Don't forget that Bangal before partition had majority Hindu on all major position and they left after creation of Pakistan. The educated Bengali you are on about were mainly Hindus.
