Bangladesh to honour all Indian martyrs in Liberation War soon: Mozammel

DHAKA, Jan 26, 2019 (BSS) -Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq today said Bangladesh will honour to all 1,661 martyred heroes of the Indian Armed Forces in 1971 Liberation War soon.

“Recognizing the supreme sacrifices made by the 1,661 Indian armed forces personnel in the great Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has decided to honour those martyrs posthumously” the minister said while addressing as the chief guest at a function, arranged by Indian High Commission in Dhaka for the celebration of 70th Republic Day of India at International Convention City in Bashundhara area here.

“During her (Sheikh Hasina) state visit to India in April, 2017, she personally conferred honour to the next of kin of 7 martyred Indian Armed Forces Personnel… On December 16 in 2018, at the Fort William of Kolkata, the minister himself handed over the honour to relatives of 12 personnel of the Indian Armed Forces,” he added.

He wished the members of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka and to the government and the friendly people of India.

He said, on this day in 1950, the will of the people of India and their dream of ‘Freedom’ epitomized in the newly adopted constitution of India featuring Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity and thus the foundation of the world’s largest democracy was laid.

The minister said Bangladesh-India relationship is multifaceted in nature and is rooted in our shared history and geographical proximity.

“India’s critical role in support of Bangladesh’s war of independence under the leadership of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1971 was a watershed moment in our relations,” he said, adding that India was one of the first countries to recognize Bangladesh on December 06, 1971 as an independent country.

“With the wholehearted support of the people and under the able stewardship of our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we are confident that Bangladesh will become a developed country by 2041 – the 70th year our independence,” he continued.

The minister hoped that the friendship between the two countries will continue to grow from strength to strength in the days ahead.

Jatiya Sangsad speaker, ministers, deputy high commissioner of India in Dhaka, members of parliament and different distinguished guests, among others, were present at the function.
God damn it. Just do it and move on instead this repeated media stunt. This AL govt. seems to more interested to make dramabazi about 'honoring Indian martyrs' than actually doing it. I am reading this stuff for the last 10 years.

Does God lives in Mazar for you?

You should break it down for some of the clueless...

Bhainga kon bhai....:P

Mazars are more or less not looked down favorably in Bangladesh because they represent 'shirk'. You don't need an intermediary to Allah. Direct connection is fine.

Most people visiting Mazars are essentially uneducated.

What are you talking about, Pakistan shared everything equally, what little we had we shared equally.

How right they were but the rotten traitor Sheikh Mujib couldn't do it but his treasonous production did it instead-"and they considered Sheikh Mujib will make Bangladesh a state of India."

I m sorry my friend, but u seem to know very little about the disparity that existed between East Pak and West Pak. Otherwise u would not have made such ludicrous claim. Anyway, allow me to make things clearer to u. It will help u to know why bengali muslims fought to get separated from a country that they themselves created (If there was no bengali muslim, Pakistan would not have been created in the first place).

Even in 60s almost 70% of Pakistan's total export earning used to come from East Pakistan. From 47-65(before the decline of jute demand) East Pakistan generated most of Pakistan's foreign currency thorough the exportation of jute and tea, but didn't get anything in return.

From 47-65, East pakistan had 60% of total Population of Pakistan , earned above 60% of the total revenue but received below 30% of total expenditure whereas West Pakistan had merely 40% of total Pakistani people, earned only 40% percent of total revenue but received above 70% of total expenditures.

Look at the amount of looting done by the West Pakistan regime. It was so extreme that after getting separated from India in next 10 years East Pak's per capita income decreased by 10 RS while West Pak's per capita income increased by 30 RS.

What is Pakistan's current literacy rate? I will not make u uncomfortable here by mentioning Pak's current literacy rate. Just google it and then compare it to ours. Just keep in mind that in terms of literacy rate currently Pak is far far behind Bangladesh and the gap is widening with every passing year.

But do u know the overall condition of education in East Pakistan before 71. Here is a nice graph about the number of primary school per capita of East pak and West Pak from 1950-1971

I can go on and on. But i m choosing not to do so. Have a good day.

Um, ok?

What's more interesting is that there is a Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. Seems like a very effective way of wasting money.

Are you or your wealthy family sponsoring this project? You must have become rich under Hasina’s blessing?

Please make it in your back yard otherwise pedestrian will piss on it.
A memorial doesn't cost much and we can easily make one to honour the soldiers died for liberation of Bangladesh.

Only the Razakars who were against our liberation and actively participated in killing and raping bengalis along with their Pakistani masters and their descendants would piss on a memorial made for the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Bangladesh.

Thankfully our Honorable prime minister has taken the vow to get rid of these traitors from our beautiful land. These mirjafors has no place in our beautiful land.

as soon as these bangalis complain, all online mods jump into action but if a Pro-Pakistan member reports anything 99.9999% of the time it is ignored by you all (except may be Dubious who seems to be the only Pakistani)

It is 100 time easier for me to get anti-Pakistan posts removed from Facebook than than it is from here

I can do more clean-up there on Facebook in 1 hour than I can here on this so-called Pakistani forum in 2 months worth of reporting
