What’s me being a wannabe doc have to do with Bangladesh’s govt failing to support the local vaccine developer whose vaccine is one of the three recognized vaccines by WHO?
30m sounds about right as only 5% of BD's population at most is at risk of severe symptoms from the virus. The actual figure is probably 1-2%.
It is crazy to give this vaccine to the rest of the population as they have little to fear from the virus. No common long term side effects have been yet been ruled out from any vaccine.
