For whatever reason not many foreign oil companies have shown keen interest to explore hydrocarbon in the Bay of Bengal. One reason may be the GoB or BAPEX wants to control the foreign stakeholder as if it is a sin to earn money by these foreign stakeholders.

We don't give a hoot about the Delhiites or the Mumbaikars, no one on earth can protect you from our wrath if you get adventurous. Jeez, i really don't know mate. I consider myself to be a moderate and have no beef with the Bangladeshis but my people really dislike your folks and that has nothing to do with India versus Bangladesh, just the way north east India is. Even if your country is inundated by floodwaters in the next 50 or so years and you beg our government to be a part of the Indian Union, i don't think that would work out well with the northeast. We will have massive civil unrest here at the mere thought of it.
