congrats to BD. well done, but I don't think so BD can become the 2nd biggest in SA, atleast it would require high growth for a decade and still they would need pakistan to perform really bad.

Bangladesh's economy is due for a rebase. Its expected to increase by 50-75% once the rebasing is done this year.

Bangladesh can progress even more if constant bickering and hartals by two begums haseena and waleda will stop. Also with Bangladesh getting more investments from China, India and US, the time is right to take a leap in future with great hopes.

I am happy that all the south asian economies are thinking of growth instead of wars and terrorism. May in future South Asia becomes most prosperous region in world (as opposed to current where it is lowest in all aspects of humanity and development).

Couple of Advatage why Pakistan has brighter potential:

US troops will move out in 2014...so that will definitely reduce the terrorism and nation will be stabilized...
India and Pak relationship is increasing that will allow Pak Gov to focos more on economy
Above all strategically Pak is located to Cental Asia and Mineral rich Afgansitan...So once Afgan stabilizes...Pak economy will jump up..

That's so true. Even if BD's GDP surpasses Pakistan's, it won't be for too long. Anyways, I think it's more sensible to compare ourselves against our past than with country X or Y!

I did not see a single Bangladeshi bashed PK in this thread. You are the one started all the bashing.
You are a proud Pakistani which is good and Bangladesh has a long way to go. Our immediate neighbor Singapore/Thailand export even more than India. Bangladesh achieved nothing yet. I hope I dont have to explain any further and good luck to Pakistan.
