বিতর্কিত ইসলামী বক্তা জাকির নাইক পরিচালিত ‘পিস টিভি’র সম্প্রচার বন্ধের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে বাংলাদেশের সরকার।

আজ রোববার স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত আইনশৃঙ্খলা সংক্রান্ত মন্ত্রিসভা কমিটির বৈঠকে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয় বলে সাংবাদিকদের জানান শিল্পমন্ত্রী আমির হোসেন আমু।

জাকির নাইকের বিরুদ্ধে জঙ্গিবাদে উৎসাহ দেয়ার অভিযোগ ওঠার পর ভারতেও পিস টিভি বন্ধের প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয় শনিবার রাত থেকেই।

যদিও ভারতে ‘পিস টিভি’র সম্প্রচার করার অনুমতি নেই, বেআইনিভাবে অনেক কেবল অপারেটর এই চ্যানেলটি সম্প্রচার করেন।

জাকির নাইক পরিচালিত মুম্বাইভিত্তিক ইসলামিক রিসার্চ ফাউন্ডেশনের একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান হলো এই ‘পিস টিভি’। এ টিভিতে ধর্ম নিয়ে আলোচনায় ইসলামের যে ব্যাখ্যা তিনি দেন, তা নিয়ে বিভিন্ন সময়ে বিতর্ক তৈরি হয়েছে।

Govt halts unauthorised TV channels including Peace TV

Bangladesh government today decided to stop the airing of Peace TV, run by Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik – a decision taken by a top executive committee.

The cabinet committee on law and order chaired by Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu took the decision after two back-to-back attacks within July’s first week.

The govt can block those contents in BD....and has already issued warning against sharing provocative(isis videos) videos on social media....if they really want to do it they can make people forget him in months...question is how much effort are they willing to put here.

Bangladesh was going along fine concentrating on unity and economy

I cant believe how much for no good reason they have fucked up their own country.

Yes it was growing and heading in a good direction, hence the growth.

You suddenly suspended democracy and essentially became a one party state, started jailing and killing members of the opposition, banning movements consisting of millions of people, executing old men on charges from the 70s, and pushing religious and conservative people towards extremism.

Your government has its head firmly lodged up modi's back side and are now banning moderate t.v channels like Peace T.V which wven if you dont like hardly call for war across the world

Even if you disagree with me you must admit you are senselessly creating chaos in your country which unless you stop and start curtailing hasina and the indian influence will create hungama and cut your growth to pieces
