Rohyngas aren’t exlusively Muslim you muppet
@DalalErMaNodi educate this moron
Indeed, Among the Rohingya people there are many adherents of the Hindu faith, there is actually a Temple in the Kutapalong Refugee camp in Teknaf.
The issue revolving around the forced expulsion of the Rohingya from Rakhine state is a multifaceted one, in short, It's not only because of their religion but also due to an underlying xenophobic agenda pandered by the people of Myanmar; Each and every tribe in Myanmar is racist towards the Rohingya.
They call them demeaning names and consider them Bengali immigrants, even though they have lived in Rakhine for centuries.
The Rohingya we see now actually had Burmese citizenship until the 80s when it was revoked by the military regime (timeline could be off but the facts are true), since then the government of Myanmar has been trying to oust them out of the country and into Bangladesh.
Rakhine state has lots of natural resources principally natural gas reserves, which China mind you want to tap into, China also see Rakhine state as their gateway into the bay of Bengal, hence their backing of the Burmese.
The Rohingya have been denied proper education and necessities since the early 80s, so calling them illiterate or criminals only goes to show that depriving people of education is the real crime that has been committed in Burma and is being committed to date.
The Burmese regime view the Rohingya as a threat to their control over the state and its vast natural resources, hence the clearance operation, ironically the clearance operations aren't targeted at some fictitious islamoterror group but rather at 'clearing' the land of the Rohingya themselves.
The closest comparison to the treatment of Rohingya in Myanmar would be the predicament of the Jews during the nazi period especially around the late 1930s when the Jewish population was ostracized and dehumanised.
Dehumanising a certain group of people is step one to genocide, you must make them public enemy #1 in the eyes of the general public and the Burmese regime has succeeded.
They're dark skinned, illiterate and they mostly live off farming, they're holding out great nation of wannabe North Korea V2 back, let's eliminate them.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
Myanmar has gone as far as to call that rohingyas are Bangladeshi illegal immigrants, including instances where they have called them 'Bengali' in the United Nations.
So, If they are tagging the Rohingya Bengali, then it's an insult to the entire bengali nation, it's a sign of their superiority complex by way of rubbing sandalwood power on their skin all day to get a few shades lighter and scoring the next crusty white old guy when Myanmar becomes the next Thailand. What else are those countries known for anyway.
Anyway, since they've invoked the word Bengali this is no longer an issue between them and the Rohingya but rather it's between us and them.
Anyone taking Burma's side in the expulsion of Rohingya is also in support of the notion that Rohingyas are Bengali, which is the Burmese line officially.
Therefore, taking Burmese side is openly anti national and down right seditious, how people can make such hypocritical comments is beyond me.
I call for a swift apprehension of such personalities and a quick trial, for crimes including but not limited to treason and sedition not to mention violating the DSA act 2017 through anti state activities online.
Capital Punishment for a select few, then strip citizenships of the rest.
