Russian can offer them good deal that they can afford and it also keep production line of Mig-29/35 open for few year and after that BD can even produce them at home as they may like to build it for next 20 to 30 years as per their needs whereas Russia does not need those other then some Mig-29Ks.

I always thought of this, if BD had some F-16s. They could be more suitable for BD.
I heard from many BD military officers; they have bad perception for JF-17 or J-10. As they are not proven fighters.



BD air force has something big in mind. Right now they have become a trainer based air force.

Russia is ready / happy to transfer tech if it gets good offer for Mig-35, BD can get through long term loans too (if possible) or Egypt, BD and some other country get the tech jointly if possible.

Bangladesh suppose to get sub in 2015 from China in addition to two Russian sub in our inventory certainly improve our defence capability . but we will need Russian credit like we got before . Russia is under sanction now, any new purchase from Russia may weaken our relationship with west more as due to 5th January election relationship between current govt and west specially with US is not good .

most probable as per wiki Price per unit is US$200–250 million (China paid approx. US$1.5-2 billion for 8 Project 636 Kilo class submarines) not too expensive if consider western option .

BDs have dreamed from Mig25 to Su35, from F16 to F35, from JF17 to J10 and then gone ahead and bought F7BG. I don't know if it is the water, the fish, the rice, or the air but something certainly is out of the ordinary.
