You have failed to take difference in birth rates among Bangladeshi Muslims and Hindus into account. Hindu population has increased slower compared to Muslim population.

Hindu Bengalis dont kill their daughters like other hindus so difference wouldnt be that much.

Hindu population is constantly declining even after 1971, so don't put blame on Pakistan. Its not that Bangladeshis have less kids, its just that they have been successful in sending of hindus to India which they no longer want to take back. And BTW hindu population in Pakistan have slightly increased since 1951 census, from 1.3% to 1.6% in 1998. While Bangladesh saw decrease from 22% in 1951 to 8% in 2011.

Basically BD have sent 20 million hindus to India. Not counting number of muslims, for that we need to look at census of Bengali speaking muslims of India and compare over the years.

There was a slight decline in BD Hindu population from 1971-2000 due to the poor economic condition of BD due to Pakistani exploitation between 1947-1971. After 2000 till around 2010, Hindu population stabilised and it is increasing this decade as BD economy is strong and Hindus that left for India are coming back.

If west Pakistan was the factor, the trend would have been stopped it if not reversed after Mukti Bahini took power while Hindus in west Pakistan would have been sent packing long ago, not increasing their numbers. Externalizing whats happening in Bangladesh today won't amount to anything.

Contrary to popular belief, Hindu population was around 13.5% after Independence. There are many factors which led to the Hindu population now becoming 10% of the total population but Bangladesh never had 22% hindu, this is just too much to say.

I don't know if Hindu population increased but hell you can spot Hindus in almost every facet of government nowadays, especially in the police force as inspectors and sub inspectors.

This is excellent and I for one am all for protection of minorities, especially Hindus who are integral part of Bangladeshi and Bangali culture.

To the dogs, who says Hindus are being persecuted, come to Bangladesh and visit the temples yourself and you will know if they're being persecuted.

A few loose incidents are being morphed into some large scale oppression scenario by the shameless India media to serve its own goals; boost Modi's/BJP's ratings.

We are don't lynch and oppress our minorities unlike present day India. As for Land grabbing, my own family has lost ancestral land to this and we are Muslims.

We will have a new census soon, all will be revealed then

There is a segment of Hindus who have tremendous hate for Muslims and Islam. Even after coming to west they don’t stop. They kept on peddling the lie that Hindus are persecuted and they are not safe in Bangladesh just exactly what Priya Saha has done. That was not just an isolated incident. If you read the messages and comments who post frequently among Bangladeshi Hindus who lives abroad you will notice that trend. Plus a big segment of the so called atheists are also Hindus who use atheism to bad mouth Islam. Recently a Bangladeshi hindu group in Toronto protested the city for giving permission to the mosque to broadcast Adan saying this not only does noise pollution but also for the same torture we had to leave Bangladesh now we will have to face it again here. A Bangladeshi group protested that published a YouTube video. If I find it, I will share it.

I don't want to say anything about Pakistan because moderators banned me many times for saying things against Pak.

So yes Bangladesh is good for minorities. You can see below the list of Holidays in Bangladesh. Buddha Purnima, Christmas, Durga puja and Janmashtami are public holidays in Bangladesh. Even if you are a citizen of USA or any European country, you won't get any Hindu holiday.

F***ing hell, finally someone with a brain. It's very obvious why these bloggers do what they do, I was just about to say the same thing.

These so called bloggers knowingly invite trouble so they can expedite their visa approval process for western countries and normally entry to western Europe is tight (blocked account and what not) but if you attempt for asylum on pretext of being threatened for speaking out then you'll easily get a visa even if you don't have a university degree.

That's good to hear. Unlike the USA, the Hindus have been living in BD for centuries so that's how it should be actually. It was really shameful to see Pakistan only just recently giving holidays for Hindus.

I have followed BD cricket as well and they seem to be fun loving guys who sometimes on occasions are a bit immature. Watched a few BD related videos and found them very similar to Indian Bengalis. People in the cities especially look really cool about life.
