You have taken a position regarding the conflict, does not mean BD has to take the same position as a state. We have a historic position and will not change unless there is some compelling benefit by doing so.

And what is that "benefit"? A nice back-pat from the Arabs? And if I recall, we fought for a democracy, is it not? In that case, I have a right to take my position as much as you do, no matter how small.

Forget the ruling party. Bangladesh takes that position only to make those mullahs happy, nothing else. And, like as if they helped the Rohingyas in any way.

If there is a sincere effort on behalf of all powers to solve the problem, then yes, we should take a position on the matter to secure our interests in the region.

But given such lop-sided politics on the issue, this doesn't deserve an ounce of our effort.
