What's new

Bangladesh goes one step forward

The stats may day different but I would class you with Malawi.

Only thing stopping BD in past was poor infrastructure.

With Padma bridge, Russian nuclear and Japanese coal plants soon to come online, BD growth will accelerate.

BD is way higher on the evolutionary scale than the primitive Mayanmarese.

We share a border with Myanmar which is what, less than 40 miles and these Burmese, small willy chimps living in Bamboo huts think they can compete against us. Since when were they in competition with us?

.
Haha... look, I know it must suck to find yourselves behind us.

This assumption of not having control is exaggerated.
Myanmar is in so much control that indian army crossed border without facing any opposition  and secondly it must suck to know that even after achieving independence 22 years before us burmese economy is less than half of our economy :D

These baboons think they can compete with BD because they are selling resources and getting dollars in return.

BD is far higher when it comes to an industrial base and will pull even further ahead of Myanmar in future.

that's a bit racist

Burma is one of the more isolated countries with no meaning of globalization. The only thing they country is named for is it's infamous military regime. Please tell me how they contribute globally except for some Yaba and their previous trade, Opium?

.
Good for Bangladesh. Hopefully one day all South Asian countries can eradicate poverty and develop to become major economic powers.

You've answered your own question. Half the economy with less than a third of the population. And you're still afraid of armed conflict.

BTW the Indians crossed less than a mile into undemarcated jungle in the moat remote part of our country.

These baboons think they can compete with BD because they are selling resources and getting dollars in return.

If we're baboons then you're the underclass coolie labourers of baboons. Sucks for you

What's the weather like in 2009? Do you think they'll ever catch Bin Laden?

Open you eyes to what is happening in BD.

Massive bridge, nuclear, coal and metro projects are in construction.

Soon all the major cities will be linked with high-speed rail thanks to
Chinese soft loans.

With a good infrastructure system in place, there will be nothing stopping BD from industrialising at an even quicker rate.

Sorry but Myanmar is nowhere near even capable of competing with BD - think yourself lucky that you sit on natural resources and can sell that to make a living.

When will Myanmar retaliate against the Indian disregard on Myanmar sovereignty?

He made a mistake MM's GDP is actually one third than us.
And population speculation is highly prone to errors. When there will be proper headcounts we will see actual figure. When the millions of Jungle people of MM forests and refugees from BD, Thailand, China, India, USA, Malayasia and other countries will return we will see actual population figure of Myanmar. Yes population may be around 90 to 100 million.

Every country in Asia has massive infrastructure projects on paper, you clown. The difference is ours are actually breaking ground. Yours are not even finalised conceptually. And what is the deal with this bridge? It's just a bridge.

What I see is despite your slave labour econony, the FDI and foreign expertise is not there to take you towards the next step. I don't blame them either with all those islamist nut jobs waiting for their chance.

It's telling that being classed with the likes of us and Tajikistan is cause for celebration.

Haha BD tosses construction monkeys, plantation coolies and housemaids to all corners of the world like turds on a wall. You even pay Burmese to smuggle you to Malaysia. We have a few million expats at most living abroad. 100 million? Silly little coolie.

Douchebag - apart from the railways the other projects I mentioned are actually being built now. Padma brige, Russina nuclear power plant and Japanese coal-fired power plants are all in construction. Dhaka metro construction will start soon as the money and plan of the project has already been approved.

Padma bridge - only the longest bridge in the whole of South Asia! It will literally connect the South-West of BD will be the capita Dhaka and the rest of BD by road, rail and gas connectivity. The economy of the South-West will get a massive boost when this bridge is ready in a few years time.

Russia, China, Japan and India(not really desirable) are all investing big-time in BD and so what does it matter what you think about BD?
