This is not the first time though when Bangladeshi fans have disrespected India.

Mumbai: While the India versus Bangladesh rivalry has not been as big as India versus Pakistan, passionate Bangladeshi cricket fans have been creating quite a buzz whenever these two sides have faced off each other.

So much so that, at times, the passion seems to have gone a bit overboard. As India gear up to take on Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy semifinals, a photo has gone viral disrespecting the Indian flag.

Bangladesh cricket team is known by the nickname of ‘The Tigers’. In fact, their official Facebook page goes by the name of ‘Bangladesh Cricket: The Tigers’.

However, a certain fan has taken ‘The Tiger’ analogy too far and shown utter disregard to the Indian tri-colour wrapping it around a dog in a photo posted on social media. The literal translation of what's written with the image is: “It is going to be a great match.”

This is not the first time though when Bangladeshi fans have disrespected India. After a rookie Mustafizur Rahman, with his off-cutters, ran through the Indian batting line-up during the three-match ODI series in June 2015, a newspaper in Bangladesh produced a “fake” cutter advertisement.

The ad showed seven Indian cricketers – MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja – with half-shaved heads with Mustafizur shown endorsing cutter. The ad, which targeted Indian cricketers read: 'We have used it. You can use it too'.

The criticism towards the Indian team did not stop there. As India and Bangladesh were about to square off in an Asia Cup final last year, a photo of Taskin Ahmed holding MS Dhoni’s head went viral.

You got to hand it to Bangla fans - their team has never won anything of note. Their claim to fame is causing a few upsets every now and then. But the way they go about peddling their team's chances you would think they have won more World Cups than Australia and India combined.

Anyway, good luck to Bangladesh this time.

These are not India n bhade me tattoo like hasina

There is no problem of using mind games words before a match off or on the field, which Australians are masters. We don't have any enemity with BD. There is always a good way of conveying your emotions. You should avoid insulting for pleasure. We often see such unnecessary acts which surfaces from BD. I request my Bangla friends, the people & the Cricket team to voice & condemn such acts. The Gov.t & BCB should take action against such acts. If they keep mum & later on India takes retaliatory action like we have done to Pak, then BD cricket is which is going to suffer the consequences.

Lot of BD players play in IPL & make handsome money, which they can't even dream in BD. Just if our public start a campaign online of banning BD players, it will go viral & if a ban follows your BCB & players will start begging & apologizing for the people's act & requesting to revoke the ban. A ban will be ensured if somebody just writes to Shiv Sena. This is not a threat, but this can happen as people are very emotional if somebody insults our country or people.

Kindly avoid such embarrassments, which will later hurt your ego. Let's play the cricket in the spirit of the game. Ask any BD player, has anybody being ill treated by India. Have we done any bad mouthing to BD team. Every BD players longs to play in India & get selected for IPL because they all love the entertainment & time they spend in India. They also get to mingle with top-notch players of other countries.

My post is just a appeal, don't make it a war of words. I am only giving the picture, how emotions & small egos can blow out of proportion. We are neighbors, So let's not build friction & animosity which will lead to hatred & enemity. There is always ways to keep a relation alive & beneficial. Good luck to the BD team. Hope to see a good fight tomorrow.

I've never seen any bigger cry-babies than Indians. Indian fans are known for their blatant disrespect to other teams. There have been many instances when the Indian crowd has abused and tried to physically harm opponent fielders, blazed the stadium when India performs poorly. And now we see them commenting on conducts of others. You should better try to develop thick skin rather than doing this randi-rona.

Sub continental Cricket fans are wankers in general and are non sporting and lack any sense of humor, Highly emotional and have tendencies to hero worship mediocre sportspeople, Possibly because they are utterly shyt at any other sport

International Cricket is a shyt game anyway, Highly corrupt

I think That ruthless 175 is still paining in you guys'@$$. Wait for tomorrow. Probably we shall see one semilar inning from one Indian player.

Lol,. No offences but your profile name should have been "Kareem Troll" rather than "Kareem roll". :)

Anyways great find. :enjoy:

I wish Pakistan would have been playing against BD so that they can take revenge of Asia cup.

Bangladesh deserves a nice shellacking from India tomorrow ...too much drama

This... Will international organizations not intervene?
