Bangladeshis are a hardworking people and they have a government that does care for its people to an extent.
Unlike Pakistan where our monkey brain awam have been favoring thugs as their leaders and masters.

Times are a changing and Pakistan will be different in 5 - 6 years bcz regardless of what happens with the current government and its policies, the direction of the country as a whole is changed and we are only going to progress from here.

IMO 5-6 years seem too optimistic. The damage was done over decades. Empty coffers, increasing debt, water/electricity shortage, declining exports...all of this makes for a very bleak outlook. If in this term PTI can just stop the downward spiral, I would be satisfied with their progress and in my eyes they would deserve to be re-elected.

difference in 2010: 320 Billion in Pakistan favor
difference in 2019: 413 Billion in Pakistan Favor

Sorry to bust your bubble. We are talking about CEBR report here and look at page 175. Pakistan’s GDP size has been reduced from 306 bn usd in 2018 to 283 bn usd in 2019. It is because devaluation of Pakistani rupee. Don’t look at IMF, look at PKR and do conversion to USD again. IMF will soon officially release this figure. Last year Pakistan government avoided this by using a lower conversion to USD (108 PKR when actually it was around 130 PKR for 1 usd)

I was talking about PPP per capita. And the decrease was in percentage.

In 2010 Pakistan's PPP per capita 1040$
In 2010 BD's PPP per capita 757$

Pakistan 37% higher.

In 2019 Pakistan's PPP per capita 6000$
In 2019 BD's PPP per capita 5000$

Pakistan 20% higher.

Wiki still states the IMF prediction data l. IMF before predicted Pakistan economy to be valued at 342 BN USD. But later they couldn't determine Pakistan's size due to lack of data.

Later devaluation of PKR shrunk the economy.

So it is now believed by economic institutions that BD economy is larger than PK.

But, how come Pak folks buy 200K new cars and 2m new motor bikes per year; whereas BD has only 350K cars and 1.6m motor bikes in total!!!! And, how come Pak flies 400 fighters, but BD can’t provide fuel even for regular training for trainer jets?!? Some staffs aren’t matching up...

According to the Pak public accountants, 70% of her transactions are undocumented/unregulated/untaxed etc.!!! The riddle lies there...

Well in PP terms Pakistan economy is still twice the size of bangaldesh

Its PP that really matters as its adjusted for local prices..

In simple terms if apple cost 10cents in pakistan and 20cents in bangladesh than bangladesh will have higher nominal but both will have equal PP GDP

Having said that per capita wise they probably will cross us soon
