I don't think there is any point in joining the union currently , both politically and economically

Then I suppose all Central Asian countries would be also culturally more European, after all they were subjected to the same Russian influence? And I don't know of any other "European" influence in history of Azerbaijan? And Azerbaijan are not only a small part of Baku.
