Bahraini warplane participating in Yemen war crashes in Saudi Arabia

DUBAI: A Bahraini F-16 jet taking part in a mostly Gulf Arab military campaign in Yemen crashed in southern Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, according to a coalition statement on the Saudi state news agency.

"A pilot from the Bahraini contingent participating in the coalition survived after the fall of his F16 plane in the Jizan region this morning due to a technical malfunction," the statement said.

Poor maintenance i guess, F-16's are quite rigid machine we have few attrition when we induct it but after that record of safety flying is quite good.

I believe Houthis does't have the capability to shot down fighter jet, most probably some kind of mechanical failure. Even Houthis did't claim the trophy either.

Always a technical malfunction, the Sauds claimed it, Morocco did too...Bullshit! After the UAE ground troops were carbonized (fahamouhoum, exact word used by the Yemenis) the UAE COS flew to Algeria to seek training for his troops, Yesterday it was the turn to the Bahraeini COS to receive the Algerian's Ambassador in Manama for the same reason. I am sure that both countries knew the Algerian's answer to their request.

How do you know?
They shot down a Saudi F15, about 4 Saudi Apaches, A Moroccan f16...all of them due mechanical causes? other sources gave them that the losses of F15 and other Saudi craft is a lot higher following Scuds launched on the Saudi air base where the coalition jets are based.

You forget that the Yemeni army, loyal to Salah , is trained to use anti aircraft weapons and Sams... their aviation was certainly decimated, it does not mean that that their air defense is.
