co-developing the J-31 with China could be a realistic option for turkey. She would able able to call the aircraft her own with equal amounts of ToT- just like how Pakistan has her own JF-17
To hell with Chinese planes. We want to win a possible war not look big on paper

You have described yourself in a quite effective and short way. The west has been the main researcher and producer on aerial technology/weapons since the end of ww2. If you have to learn you learn from those that have proven themselves.

Turkey is not the west. China is about 30 years ahead of Turkey in aerospace. There is a lot of different disciplines involved in aerospace, it's not something that is easy or achieved from nothing.

Even building a basic airframe requires a lot of funds a number of facilities and many specialists. Building engines is much the same, then there are questions of avionics which China has a clear advantage.

That may be true.

But discussion wasn't about "Turkish Aerospace tech vs Chinese Aerospace tech", but British tech and Chinese tech. No body claimed that Turkey is advanced as such as England, nor better than China.

There was a member here claiming Chinese tech is basically junk, even the US, Russia and many other aviation leaders have acknowledged that China is very much advanced in all sectors of aviation.

It was a comparision, not definition. That member thinks that "Chinese tech is a junk compared to Western tech". Not junk by itself. Maybe Indian tech is a junk compared to Chinese Tech.

There was no claim about Turkish Aerospace tech or it's superiority against Chinese/British ones.

30 years ahead? Can you prove this. I want solid proof otherwise we will consider that statement as mouth fart.

It obvious China is ahead but westerners more ahead than China. This is not mouth fart of me western experts say it.

So after all getting aerospace technologies from west is logical.

And what is so ridiculous do you know? You are talking about Chinese technologies even most of experts have hesitate to give a view about it according policy of China how dare you make quite sure statements?

Well may be you are involved in those projects but we don't know it. Or typing from your seat is easy coz no penalty for fart here in PDF.

1、i am not interested in testified anything, I am not so professional and will cost two much time

2、nowdays, west control the media, west is clever but biased, and also English is world language,it is not easy for most people to learn the truth, but I you really interested , you can find the turth on internet if you work hard

3、military technologe today, usa is lead, followed by Russia, china catch up quickly. If you want to compare England , take it into EU as a entity to maybe can make a comparison

Genius reply, I'd rather have 2 shiny cars than 15 hunks of metal garbage

It's obvious u're anti-Chinese in some ways. If u examine my comment, i atually even meant the Turkish aviation well by suggesting that Turkey could possibly co-develop the J-31 with China and by doing so, she would even have the right to claim the plane as her own(as in the case of the JF-17 for Pakistan)

U comment apparently insinuates that Chinese planes are junk. So my question henceforth would be:

Then what are your perceptions of the capabiltiies of the Turkish aviation industry(since u atually have the audacity of making such remarks)?

Which is y i said it's better to work out something(consider developing a 5th generation jet with other nations) then to talk big and at the end of the day- still have nothing to brag about.

I'm not even going waste my time posting pictures of the J-10 or various Chinese helicopters.

Not anti Chinese just a realist. If China had pioneered aerial tech and proven itself over 60 odd years i would wholeheartedly support your statements

Yes in one picture we have a proven aircraft and the others we have substandard flying pieces of junk who's blue prints were reverse engineered from Soviet ones

Guys that is true that China is ahead of us in aerospace technology. Maybe not 30 years, but at least 20-25 years. Nothing wrong with it or accepting it. It was even worse for us 10 years ago, the GAP between China and Turkey was at least 50 years in 2001. We are developing in this sector very fast.

But people should also accept that, Chinese tech is a junk compared to Western tech. I mean, it is. Nothing wrong to accept it. China is also closing the GAP between them and EU/USA.

I still don't get it why we are discussing China vs Turkey. Come on :D

We will have something to show by the end of the TFX project and we will shove it into the mouths and asses of people who thought we wouldn't be able to pull it off. We don't want substandard and useless gear, we want the best of the best and we will get it
