FATA is lawless despite all operations? Isn't that a tauheen'e army? And the KPK supposedly has the best police force doesn't it?

No its not.

Army has done its job well. And KPK does have a better police than before. But terror driven crime is difficult to control.

From 2008 to 2010, Pakistan had seen the worst of terror of TTP type and Peshawar was at the fore front of this. I can imagine who would have wanted to live there!

My friend who was in Karachi had set up a successful business there. He had to immigrate winding up everything there as he constantly received phone calls and couriered messages for bhatta. He was told several times on phone his wife's name, his children's names and the schools and classes they were in. Who can live in a hell like this?

In Karachi, the PPP and MQM terrorists commit a crime and disappear in Lyari or some MQM controlled area. Still accessible by local police but local police cant do a thing as crime is politically driven.

In Peshawar, the terrorists commit a crime and disappear in bad lands of FATA, a federally controlled area KPK police has no access to and whose chief executive is a Nooni appointed president.

Since 2013, there had been significant reforms in KPK. The type of reforms no status quo politician of Sharif or Zardari can think of. A type of reform whose results will only be seen in a long term. Zardari controlled area of Pakistan lives in constant incompetence, corruption and crime and Sharif controlled area live in mega project world with zero reforms that can build a nation.

Karachi of today is booming, I don't know why your friend unwinded, maybe because he was doing business in Katti pahari or Banaras.

In my view these are most likely the pukhtoon elements escaped back to FATA and KPK after Karachi operation targetted TTP safe heavens in Karachi amongst other culprits of the violance.
