Yes exactly, use the electoral process to the goo use. But not with Tahar sqaure like heroics with Baba's.
Exercise the vote and shut them from power. That is how we respond to the people we dont like in a democracy.

I hate the way Govt. is kowtowing to every self-appointed guardian (civil society/Babas et. al.) .. this is a dangerous trend to create extra-constitutional power center... elected leaders atleast have to come back to voters in 5 years.. I ask, to Whom these Lokpal/Civil society/Baba Gang are accountable to???

You wanna root out corruption, then you have to support any one who stands against corruption. When it comes to election you are wise not to support Baba if you feel there is a better contender and better party in your constituency.
I really feel bad about me being ruled by Sonia, she might have declined the PM post but she is the root cause for most of the problem that the nation is facing, she can never understand the poor of the nation. the reason that she was brought into politics by Seeta Ram Kesari was to stop the Bofors case and to save Congress from its declining popularity and the absence of Gandhi family would do more damage to Congress.

What do you mean by "attack". There were a few tear gas shells and no lathi charge even according to Delhi police. Most injuries occurred because of the stampede. Although ofcourse, any injuries that occurred are bad and there is no justification for it. But out of 70.000 to 80 000 people the injuries have been under 100 which I think was pretty good. It could have been worse if a really harsh measures were used.

New Delhi: With Baba Ramdev crying foul over atrocities by the police during the late-night crackdown at his camp at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, the Delhi Police today categorically denied all allegations, claiming that no one was lathicharged.

Addressing media persons, Dharmendra Kumar, Special CP, Law and Order said, "There was no lathicharge...only tear gas shells were used, that too when they started throwing stones etc." He added that 39 policemen had been injured in the stone-pelting.

The police's claim contradicts Ramdev's allegation that the police had used lathicharge against his supporters. Terming last night's police action as the "darkest night of my life", the yoga guru said that the police dragged and beat up his supporters, adding that he had not seen such atrocities before. Ramdev had described, voice cracking, how he wept and told "cops to stop misbehaving with women supporters", but to no avail. Baba Ramdev, who initially escaped the police dressed as a woman, said he was not dressed in a white salwar-kurta because he wanted to and described how he spent hours hidden among women, face covered with a dupatta. But the police put the entire onus of the chain of events on Baba Ramdev claiming that the yoga guru had been politely asked to leave the venue. But he tried to resist the police which compelled them to initiate action.

At 1 am, close to 600 policemen arrived at Ramlila Maidan to demand that the crowd of 60,000 supporters disperse. Their argument was that the gathering had been granted permission only for a yoga camp and not as a mass demonstration. (Watch: Thousands gather at Ramlila Maidan)

A group of policemen trooped onto the stage, reportedly after some people threw stones at them. The Baba asked them to go away. He then leapt from his stage, his saffron robes fanning out behind him, into the crowd of supporters. Seated on a follower's shoulders, the Baba then delivered a lengthy speech, waving his fist in the air. Finally, the police managed to get to him. At 2 am, teargas shells were launched upon the thousands of people who were present, allegedly in an attempt to force the crowds to leave the grounds. A small fire broke out on the stage that had been used by the Baba but fortunately, it did not spread.

At 5.30 am, the Baba was evicted from Delhi and moved to his ashram in Haridwar.

NEW DELHI: RJD on Sunday accused Baba Ramdev of being a front for RSS' activities and took exception to the reception given to the yoga guru by the government upon his arrival in the national capital last week.

"This is not how a sadhu should speak. The most dangerous thing is that the RSS is using the Baba as a front for its activities. They are trying to push him forward," the party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav told reporters here.

"Sadhvi Ritambhara was the first one to share the stage (with Ramdev). She was the one who was responsible for the Babri Masjid demolition," he said.

The RJD chief said he had "no issue" with Ramdev entering politics and that "more than his saffron robes, white suits him better."

The former railway minister said he was "sad" that Ramdev was given a better reception than even US President Barack Obama.

He said: "The government realised that RSS is backing the Baba and that is why Pranab Mukherjee was sent."

Questioning Ramdev's 'satyagraha', he said, "If the deal was already finalised at the hotel, then what was the need for the fast. Will Parliament work on the dictation of these people?"

They are not asking to run the government themselves. They are just asking power to probe corruption which will tried in court. So where you need accountability?
Are you also trying to say that common man should not have right to protest?
