Azerbaijan suggests joint production of defence goods

Yes, and their language is also Turkish. Most of the dynasties that ruled Iran were Turkic including Shah Ismail. Real Persian was Pahlavi dynasty, and they were the friendliest toward Turkey and Pak...
Raza Shah Pahlvi was indeed a true friend of both Turkey and Pakistan. Under him, Iran became the first country to recognize Pakistan and the first official visit by any head of state to Pakistan was by him. Post 1965 war, Turkey and Iran both supplied weapons to Pakistan. It was in 1979, when Iran became a revisionist state with diverging foreign policy objectives. RCD between Pakistan, Turkey and Iran was a good regional connectivity opportunity, its still available in the form of ECO, hopefully with a moderate govt in Tehran, it can be implemented in letter and spirit.

Amin!!

Pakistan should remain in SARC just to troll the organization and to make sure India keeps up the monkey show and in turn never really gets anywhere.

At the same time pakistan should take advantage of its geography and historic ties and look westwards... and reestablish the silk route...

Just leave the junk for the people SOUTH of pakistan.
Pak has no chance with establishing good relations with Afghanistan and Bamhladesh. Both nations are heavily dependant on Indian aide. Pakistan has friendly relations with the remaining SARC nations however they are very small and are surrounded and influenced by India.

Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan should officially form a tripple entente , to follow a similar line of action against Armenia, in view of recent developments when Armenia stalled Pakistan's bid to join CSTO as observer.
That would be a great idea. Would help bring much needed development to the region too.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan both can benefit from each other . They have decent sniper rifles and APCs . I think Pakistan can offer more . but I wonder Azerbaijan is buying defense equipment from both Turkey and Israel for a while . What we can offer them ?

Turkey and Azerbaijan are very close Militarily also. There are lots of areas of training and equipment where Turkey has helped Azerbaijan, infact a full fledged Corps was formed in Azerbaijan through Turkish help.

tanks very unlikely . they can buy from Russia . Trainer aircrafts yes . JF17 maybe .
They were reportedly interested in JF-17, went for Mig-29's and can still get more from Russia.

That leaves UCAV's, POF eye etc.

this is blasphemy .....:fie:

no never .....
I think Azerbaijan should be able to get some MTCR'ed LACM from Turkey.

As per Alan Warnes, Azerbaijan revived its interest in the JF-17. I think there's an opportunity in place to replace their MiG-21s and build up their fleet. Granted, they have the MiG-29, but with the JF-17 they could get radar and onboard electronics, especially EW/ECM, the Armenians won't necessarily know about (via their dealings with Russia).
