Putin - rather than being "against Turkish influence" per se - may see advantage to himself in prolonging an Armenian-Azeri conflict. We know he is an ally of Armenia (though he dislikes the pro-NATO leaning of the current Yerevan regime) but is also friendly to Baku. He may prefer to slow the conflict and keep it smouldering instead of allowing a quick and rightful restoration of NK to Azeri control. A quick Azeri victory can only now be slowed down by Putin. He clearly has an agenda in keeping the arm-az conflict a perpetual one.

Reports show the Wagner group from Russia is very active in Shusha. So it is true that Russians are helping the Armenians a lot. It seems Russians have decided that they don't want the Armenians to lose all of Nagorno-Karabagh until final negotiations to end the conflict start.

Topography of Shusha city.

After watching the video about the unique topography of the city, I am of the view that in the past, the army entering the city would have been at the complete mercy of the resident armed force protecting the city from above. but for the present day scenario, Shusha will not be a big ask for Azerbaijan.which has full air superiority over the conflict zone. While entering this area the ground troops will need complete and continuous air support against the incoming fire from the high risen area for protection.
Shusha without ariel watch and arm support appear to be a real uphill task. and it will not be an easy walkover for Azerbaijan forces. but once the road to the city is effectively cut off from Armenia, and the city is cordoned off the residents will have no other option but to surrender for the safety of human lives.as it is more difficult to hide at the top of a hilly area.

No debate that E-7A indeed is a terrific platform, but the Su-30 downed that day was no joke either. This article from 2015 even went on to compare it with F-22!

Now, talking about AWACS, the E-7A doesnt offer india much in capability over what Phalcons already dont. Infact, the Phalcon is based on EL-2075 which the federation of american scientists once described as the most advanced AEW&C system in the world!
