After winning hearts in India, now Sriram Raghavan's thriller Andhadhun is creating history in China. Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte have given stellar performances in the film and thus the film has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark at the box-office in China. Andhadhun, which was released in China earlier this month under the title Piano Player, has become third highest Bollywood grosser there after Aamir Khan's Dangal and Secret Superstar. Currently standing at a humongous Rs 303.36 crores and counting, Ayushmann's Andhadhun has left Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan behind.
The leading man of the film Ayushmann is super excited with the response of the Chinese audience. He shared his joy in an official statement. He said, "Cinema has always had universal appeal and it has cut across languages and borders. It’s overwhelming to see Andhadhun among such great cinema that has made our country proud."
Director Sriram Raghavan too seemed overjoyed with the response the film is receiving in China. He said, "We had no idea that our little 'experimental film's would travel so much. Experimental doesn't mean no fun. The film, I learn, is screening in both subtitled and dubbed versions in different screens. My whole team is super thrilled."
