Australia’s 2nd Fighter Fleet: Super Hornets & Growlers
June 30/14: EA-18Gs.Boeing in St. Louis, MO receives a $1.939 billion fixed-price-incentive-fee contract for full rate production of 11 Lot 38 F/A-18E aircraft for the US Navy, and 33 EA-18G aircraft for the US Navy (21) and the government of Australia (12 for $533.4 million, which is 27.3% of the total). Australia will have to pair these airframes with their expensive jamming equipment in order to field operational fighters, to say nothing of APG-79 AESA radars and F414 engines. No word yet re: whether or not this will be the Advanced Super Hornet configuration, with conformal fuel tanks and other improvements.

$1.406 billion in USN FY 2013 and 2014 aircraft budgets is committed immediately. Work will be performed in El Segundo, CA (46%); St. Louis, MO (30%); Fort Worth, TX (2%); East Aurora, NY (1.5%); Irvine, CA (1percent); Ajax, Ontario, Canada (1%), and various locations within the United States (18.5%), and is expected to be complete in December 2016. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to 10 USC. 2304(c)(1). US NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD manages the contracts for the US Navy, and acts as Australia’s agent (N00019-14-C-0032).

I think Australian Army should be around 100000 Troops and as for Air Force they have good number of F-18 they are increasing it too the only chance they end up messing with any country is Indonesia I don't think they would have any problem with any other country really soon but that region or region most nearest to them is going to be soon biggest boiling point of the world
