Australian may lift ban on exporting uranium to India: Report

@xdrive and aussie4ever..

when i had written that India will have the last laugh it was not to humiliate australia ...

It was against the people who were saying India won't get the uranium from australia... I hope u understand

Why is this argument going on and on.

Its simple, we have two major parties in Australia, Labour(backed by Greens) and Liberals. Labour doesn't want to sell uranium cause of its policies and also cause of the pressure from the Greens, whereas Liberals are more than happy to sell uranium to India. Think of it as Communists in India stopping Congress party from taking pro American decision. Its as simple as that really. Hopefully next term Liberals will come to power, and the uranium deal will go through.

Unnecessarily sensationalizing the issue. :confused:

Dont see whats the issue here. So called "ethics" , "morals" , "principles" all go outta the window when billion dollar businesses are involved. Let Australian firms see the cash generated by Russian , French companies , they would be itching to have a piece of the action , soon enough lol ...

.
Even before the nuclear deal, unofficially we had a deal with Russia. If that is not against NSG what else is.

China has done the same for Pakistan and what has NSG done ?

Russia is constrained by the NSG as are all its members, Russia can continue to live up to commitments that pre dates her NSG membership.
The benefit to India or Pakistan(from China) from these old agreements will trickle to a stop in the near future. It's apparent you don't have a clue what India's clean waiver meant, nor do you understand the implications of the new ruling - educate yourself before you engage.

. .
It will be interesting to know which countries (besides Austria and Ireland ) are insisting that ENR tech. should be denied to India..Interesting times ahead considering the fact that India is trying to enter NSG ...

You really believe that..?

india is a non proliferating country that is time tested
australia already exports uranium to countries which prolifertes though export is allowed by law..
its a question of going by the law or going by the real purpose of law...
