Australia to let players play in Sri Lankan T20 League

Cricket Australia has said that it will not ban its players from taking part in next month's inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League Twenty20 tournament.

It said that it would follow in the Board of Control for Cricket in India's steps, which has banned 12 of its cricketers from taking part.

According to The Age, Cricket Australia acting chief executive Michael Brown said he would discuss details of the tournament, which runs from July 19 to August 4, with Sri Lanka Cricket officials at the International Cricket Council's annual conference in Hong Kong next week, but indicated it had CA's "in principle" support.

"We want to support Sri Lanka Cricket, like we want them to support us. We want their players to play in our Big Bash," he added.

The SLPL will be played in Colombo and feature seven teams, each with up to five international players.

do you guys really have to open a brand new thread about anything on SL T20?

just like SLPL , the Australian Big Bash T20 is also owned by a private compay and approved by Cricket Australia , BCCI not given players to that T20 event too..

I would like to see BCCI's downfall. These people have become arrogant and does not follow good ethics.
If they represent sport then why try to create hurdle in it, when someone else wants to do something. e.g. ICL.
The main goal of BCCI is to earn money, the likes of Sharad Pawar joined it only when they smelled money in BCCI. They are actually earning big time in personal wealth using BCCI.
